Ram 2500 6.4 gas Towing 5th wheel.
I'm trying to find information about towing a 10k or less 5th wheel with my Ram short bed 2500 gas 6.4. I don't have air bags on the truck but will add them if necessary. I'm looking at the 2021 Forest River Rv Xlr Boost 27QBX. This model only uses 1/2 of the garage space for toys. I hope to put bbq smokers and equipment in the garage. I live in Philadelphia and its tough enough driving the short bed downtown and to work, so a dually was out of the question. As far as what i was referring to in slide-out i meant was expanding the interior size. Thanks everyone for some great advice. First of all, thanks so much for the information from everyone. The tt i'm renting is a Jayco 26bh gvwr at 7000lb dry hitch 475lb. From what's been posted i could skip the wdh and be ok. I just bought a 2012 Ford 350 6.7 cc short bed. I'm renting a 26ft tt in oct. The owner says he usually lets his renters use his weigh distribution hitch. My truck has a 2 1/2 inch receiver. So I go to the local pep boys and buy a 2 inch adaptor. Can I use this because the adaptor clearly states not to be used with weigh distribution hitch. Can I get away without it.
