And thanks this has all been very helpful.Ram 2500 6.4 gas Towing 5th wheel.I'm trying to find information about towing a 10k or less 5th wheel with my Ram short bed 2500 gas 6.4. I don't have air bags on the truck but will add them if necessary. I'm concerned about the coil spring and there impact on towing. I can always buy a TT but I wanted a better towing trailer.Re: Forest River RV XLR Boost 37TSX13? Any owners on here?I'm looking at the 2021 Forest River Rv Xlr Boost 27QBX. This model only uses 1/2 of the garage space for toys. I hope to put bbq smokers and equipment in the garage. I'm concerned about being too heavy or lopsided on the garage side. I can't find any help on this matter.Re: Camper pitfallsTowpro: Island beach state park in nj also delawere sea shore parks allow you to stay overnight on the beach as long as your actively fishing.Re: Camper pitfallsTowpro, I do have the space in my back yard to store a TC and I will check out the dealership in NH.Re: Camper pitfallsI live in Philadelphia and its tough enough driving the short bed downtown and to work, so a dually was out of the question. As far as what i was referring to in slide-out i meant was expanding the interior size. Thanks everyone for some great advice. I have some things to think about.Camper pitfallsI recently purchased a ford 350 xl 6.7 shortbed 3.55 rear axel. It says i have 3600lb payload. What additions should i plan on buying if i want to carry a slideout tc and pull a 5k trailer. We participate in bbq tournaments and camp on the beach..Re: wd hitch and 2 1/2 to 2 inch recieverFirst of all, thanks so much for the information from everyone. The tt i'm renting is a Jayco 26bh gvwr at 7000lb dry hitch 475lb. From what's been posted i could skip the wdh and be ok. As we start to do more and more trips we'll have to invest in the proper shank and wdh. again thankswd hitch and 2 1/2 to 2 inch recieverI just bought a 2012 Ford 350 6.7 cc short bed. I'm renting a 26ft tt in oct. The owner says he usually lets his renters use his weigh distribution hitch. My truck has a 2 1/2 inch receiver. So I go to the local pep boys and buy a 2 inch adaptor. Can I use this because the adaptor clearly states not to be used with weigh distribution hitch. Can I get away without it. I'm traveling about 150 miles Philly to rehobeth de and back.Re: 4x4 class cI see i have a lot of homework to do. Thanks for everyone's input. Im rethinking our next move.
