It worked for me. http://photoposting.is-great.net/?i=2Re: Bent Trailer Hitch BallJust went out to the trailer and you'd think they'd stamp the info other then up underneath the coupler area. It does need a "2 5/16 ball, Not to Exceed 14K gross, tongue weight not to exceed 2100lbs." The hitch is an EZ lift from C.W. The GVWR of the Trailer is 7000lbs. Unloaded it is 5425 and last weekend when heading out, w/ our normal gear packed, the scale read 5950. Picked up a new 2 5/16 ball, with a 1/14 shank diamter, 2 3/4 shank length, with a 12K capacity. Now looking at CURT Replacement MV Round Bar Weight Distribution Head #17075 and CURT Replacement MV Round Bar Weight Distribution Spring Bar #17074. W/ both rated to 14K trailer wgt. and 1400lb tongue weight. And again thank you all so much!Re: Bent Trailer Hitch BallInstallation was performed by Camping World. Feeling real lucky now and thankful we've only camped within an hour of home. Tongue weight is 635 lbs and that is w/o the bells and whistles packed. So now looking at all new WDH w/ minimum 1000 lb. bars. Any recommendations on new WDH? Thank you again for all the help.Re: Bent Trailer Hitch BallThanks again for all the help. Need a 2 5/16 ball, inspection of the trailers coupler, and hitch.Re: Bent Trailer Hitch BallHere is a picture of my WDH. It appears that it should do the job. Thank you all for the help. Re: Bent Trailer Hitch BallIt is a 2" ball and just scrapped the "mud" off and the ball says 5000lb which could be a problem there as the trailer dry is 5400.Bent Trailer Hitch BallMade the jump from hybrid trailer to a Jayco 267BH in May and have had it out about 14 days. Towing with a 2012 Ford F-150 with the max towing package so I haven't been concerned with being too heavy. This last weekend as I was getting ready to hook up to head home I noticed that hitch ball was bent. Not only did the ball shaft appear bent but the area around where it attached to the hitch also appeared to be bent. I didn't notice it when heading out and didn't back into anything. The hitch and ball setup is between 5-7 years old. Any insight on what you think may have occured would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking at getting the truck and trailer into Camping World to see if I did something incorrectly or if they notice an issue. Re: Sleeping bags vs. sheets & blanketsThe kids still use sleeping bags, but I'd much rather use sheets and comforters as it's more comfortable and saves room. A trick my wife and I do is we don't snap the tent portion down and I go outside and help make the bed from there while she stays inside. Works great and saves a lot of time.Re: Soft spot help*Update* Two weeks until our next outing so I've attacked the entry floor and found what was at one time two 2x4's that are holding up the step. They were so wet I could squeeze out water. I've not found any other water leaks, so I'm guessing/hoping that the 2inch slit in the underbelly next to the screw from the step was the culprit and damage has slowly spread over time. The discoloring of the linoleum has stayed around the entry way and slowly spread towards the bathroom while we've owned the trailer. I've removed all the laminate flooring in the trailer and plywood near the entrance. It appears the flooring consists of the rubber underbelly, thin plywood, Styrofoam and then more plywood. The damage appears to have stayed at the entry way, however you can where the mold/damage has steadily spread throughout. Plan now is to repair the rip w/ some flexbend tape, use a couple of pressure tread 2x4s for the step, sand and paint the other areas that have had some mold issues. Good plan, I'm not really sure?Re: Soft spot helpThanks for the help. I do know there is water damage as I removed a small piece of linoleum and that area has already dried out in a days time. I see a project in my future, but after the 4th.
