Hey Frank, After our Spain adventure we started looking for a motorhome rental in Europe. Indie seems to be a popular company but with many complaints and phantom charges. Friends have also bought motorhomes to tour Europe and it seems so easy and care free. Maybe someone who reads this will have some other rental options we could look at. We should revive this forum. Right now things are going to well in Mexico for travelers but I don't want to focus on that. It's become old hat. Cheers Chris Re: Rving In Mexico and South America? Where Did It Go? We were in Spain a year ago. Rented a car and toured from Madrid to Asturias to Picos de Europa, down to Leon and back to Madrid. We covered about 2000 km. We truly enjoyed it. I could live in Spain. February we will head to France. Re: Rving In Mexico and South America? Where Did It Go? Hi Moisheh, Everything has changed since then. Too bad. It was fun posting on rv.net. We have stopped rving in Mexico but still make our way to the border to enjoy a trip now and then. We will be taking the rv through Route 66 to Quartzite in late November. Keep safe and have fun! Re: New Mexico Camping What other method would she use to share her trip? Upload a bunch of fotos with descriptions like the "old days"? I have a few videos as well, that's the way we run these days. I thought it was a great and informative video. Re: Cylinder Compression Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Re: Cylinder Compression What happens when towing with the compression numbers I listed? Cylinder Compression Recently we have begun a search for a new tow vehicle. We currently have a 2005 Dodge Durango with 325,000 miles. We found a 2014 Dodge Durango and had it taken in for a complete inspection. I asked for a compression check as well. The compression check came back with the following: 1 -2-3-4 140 5-6 150 7-8 190 Does this present an issue with towing? What would it take to return six cylinders to 190? I'm not a mechanic but don't want to buy trouble either. It's a nice vehicle and has the 5.7 Hemi which we have on the 2005 and it tows beautifully. Thanks in advance. Chris Re: Jackery instead of generator What size is your air conditioner? Is it a roof air, mini-split or window type unit? Re: Rving In Mexico and South America? Where Did It Go? I'm hoping to find out where the rvers went, I know some went to Facebook. Also, who is interested in coming back to this site? It was a pain to figure this all out. I know most of us don't accept change easily but the old site was a breeze. Chris
