Tip on cleaning the sender unit if that is the cause of you problems, get a spray can of electrical contact cleaner and spray inside the electrical compartment. Exercise the sender a few times and spray again. repeat as needed. then take a Ohme meter to the contact and ground to see if you have a variance in reading. I don't know if you got the stalling at stop lights and signs sorted out, I would presume after heavy braking. But I would be checking for a "DASHPOT" or anti-stall solenoid. Obviously have the mechanic re torque the carb etc. I own 1978 empress on a Dodge MB300 chassis so at times have the same problem.Re: 1977 Dodge SportsmanI have a 78 with a 360 in it. The easy way to id the 360 is the distributor is at the rear of the engine and the 318 is to the front. As for propane mine are in a compartment on the drivers rear. Water tanks are under the rear seat.Re: Heater not heatingI have a 1978 dodge MB300, If you want I will take pictures and see if we have a match. I believe mine has instructions on it so will have a peek today.Re: House/Chassis Battery Charging IssueLiving in Cold Canada I remove mine in the late fall. ensure that they are charged and bring them into the house. In the spring charge the up again for what little they have lost and reinstall them. Just like any other vehicle not being used for the winter.Re: AC—oil or no oil?I believe some motors these days use graphite bushings that make it unnecessary. Just an idea but not used to this particular application. This could account for someone telling you to not lubricate, like door locks use graphite or oil but not both.Re: Norcold ThermostatMost objects of this kind increase clockwise and decrease anti-clockwise. Just a point of observation on my part but been around the block a few times.Re: Coil on plug # 6 on Ford V10 opnspaces wrote: Only a guess not knowing the position of the #6 plug. Something, either the airflow or maybe the EGR tube is putting more heat on the #6 coil pack than on the other coil packs. This causes it to degrade faster than the others. Older low revving motors used to get a problem with rear head oil drain holes. This would cause the engine to perform as described above.. the head would overfill on oil and seep into valves. cause plug fouling. Just an idea from an old guy. hope iy helps.Re: Running Lights TroubleA stupid idea but from the description the trailer sounds to have a central line and branches off to one or both sides. as to where the central line is located who knows but the manufacturer. It maybe a faulty bullet connector in line on the main positive.Re: Suburban Hot Water Heater Issue.I would be checking the air intake to make sure that nothing is blocking it. the yellow flame suggests to me that its low on oxygen. Just an idea.Re: Any old Dodge mechanics online hereHere's an idea for you that I was given by the parts department at one place. The Model number of F30 they presume that the F3 denotes the MB300 chassis the next digit 0 denotes from the available stock. As the last run was in 74 that is the probable year of manufacture. 1974 parts are probably the same. Checking it out more online if I can. Hopefully I have Photos and measurements this weekend. Does this sound as logical to you guys as it does to me.
