We have two receivers in the house, a Hopper 3 and a Joey, and one Walley in the motorhome on a G3 satellite. They combined it all and we pay $7/month for the Walley. The Dish tech went out to motorhome and made sure it all worked properly! WE love the dish format and, so far, it's great. The tech was great and took his time as needed, but worked fast--if that makes any sense. Plus everyone we spoke with at Dish spoke English that we could understand. This comes after five days of trying to get our Directv off vacation hold, which we do every year. After many, many hours on the phone they sent a tech who was clueless. Then, my husband was on the phone with DTV and the tech was on the phone with someone in his department. I think they knew what to do but didn't want to spend the time. Then, we were on the phone for another five hours with DTV. When my husband was told they needed another 72 hours to figure it out, he cancelled.Re: moving to Dish from DirectI did see that before I posted and moved on!:). I would still like TV that can just be "on." I stream some with Amazon Prime and it works great but a lot of us have limited data so to use it for full TV wouldn't work well. I could always upgrade to unlimited data but still....Re: moving to Dish from DirectThank you everyone!!! Just got off a very long phone call with Dish and got everything set up. They all spoke unbroken English and I had no problem understanding or being understood. What a pleasure after five days and I don't really know how many hours on the phone with Directv. Our install is tomorrow morning.Re: moving to Dish from DirectThanks. I probably will need to sign a two-year contract but that will be o.k. I had the 211K (pre Walley) but have the G 2+ dish and the Wally is what I got with it from former owner. I don't even know what the Hopper does. We have two receivers in the house (DTV). Thanks for the info. Gives me more questions to ask. I'm going to call tech support before I order anything.Re: moving to Dish from DirectThank you both so much. We will not want to use our RV account because the dish is on our RV ladder and under cover where it won't get a signal. I will call Dish to confirm that I can add the RV to the home account. Thanks to both of you, and anyone else who wants to chime in. I just don't want to have to go through more hassles.moving to Dish from DirectWe have had Directv for about 25 years. We put on vacation hold for three months and now they can't get it activated again after four days of trying including one in-home tech, and then wanted another 72 hours to figure it out. We cancelled DTV and want to go to Dish. We have had a Dish month to month plan for RV for years. My big question is am I going to be able to continue to use my Walley receiver for the RV with a Dish plan in the house or am I going to have to take a receiver from the house? I'm going to call Dish tech support and talk to them but I found in getting the Walley working with no instructions, there is a lot the tech people don't know. Even if I have to pay an extra $5/month (used to be) it would be worth it not to have to drag a receiver back and forth. Suggestions would be welcome before I make a big mistake. Now have a 2017 Winnebago View 24V and need to change my profile. Thanks, PamSeat in my truck is killing meOur 2006 Dodge dually 4x4 has very stiff suspension. The ride is better when towing fifth wheel but still very rough. Had shocks replaced, new tires, which help a little. Planning to put more air in air bags but may make it worse and raise truck too high for trailer. Has anyone found a way to soften the ride. I have bought several expensive cushions but I need something for the entire seat, thick and cushiony, maybe with air. I have lower back problems anyway but, unless I'm driving, it kills me. We are getting ready to go from coast to coast in a few weeks and usually can only do two days in a row because of my back. We bought this truck new and it only has 80,000 miles, can pull anything, no problems, and great fuel mileage and, at our age, we are not interested in truck payments for a new truck. Thanks, PamRe: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosThe first thing that came to mind, for me, was a Sig.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosCamping World, and others, have nice wood cutting board type things that you can put over your sink(s). I had two, side by side, in our last rig. Our current RV has recessed covers which you could probably also have cut to fit. I know, it all costs money :(Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosAnyone can pop in at any time with a new subject and anyone who doesn't care about the fire starters doesn't have to read the posts. Are we limited on space?
