I had a Generac 5.5 in my trailer for 5 years and it the engine seized. I could not get replacement parts and no one work on it. Generac has not made generators for trailers for several years. I got a new Onan 5.5 and it is quieter than the Generac but can't vouch for reliability yet. I have had a lot of trouble getting parts for my generac 5.5 Now I have low oil pressure and the engine needs tearing down to investigate. It will cost me about $2k extra, but I'm just going to replace my unit with an Onan. So, mu opinion, when you have a choice, don't get a Generac RV gen set.426Views0likes0Comments
