We have found the directions for the Coleman RoadTrip Grill but not the one we just bought and LOVE! We purchased the Coleman NXT 200 grill. And as we understand it - we need to remove the regulator on the grill and made a modification in order to to make an assembly we can use to hook right into our quick connect already located in the back of our 5th wheel... So as I know it now. I need to remove the regulator on my Coleman NXT 200. How do I do that? And from there - what do I need to make it modified so we can use our hose we have already that hooks right into our quick connect. The Home Depot is a mile away and I'm ready to make it happen! Thanks in advance!Re: HELP!!! Cassette potty won't flush! Thanks Dakota98! We found a YouTube video and guess what - our potty is working!!! It was the impeller that was seized up - go figure! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItDVpmR1L4sHELP!!! Cassette potty won't flush!Oh goodness! We have been learning about our amazing camper for over a year now and think we know her for the most part all the way! Two weeks ago we dewinterized her and the only problem we have now run into is that our cassette potty will NOT flush. I have done extensive reading and can not figure out why it won't flush! Ugh... We have a Thetford Cassette C-402 potty. 1. The water tank is COMPLETELY full - there is well over 2 gallons in there I believe! 2. The fuse (3 amp I think) WAS blown (how I don't know) so we replaced that. 3. The water pump IS on. 4. We will move the lever so the door is out of the way for waste to go into the cassette and then we press the button and no water runs. HELP!? Ideas? What are we missing? (x-posted) I should add that we are continuing to blow fuses - we have gone through an entire pack of them! We are disconnecting all power sources before changing the fuse - we put a new one in - reconnect all our power sources and it still won't flush... Ideas?Ahhh! We need to winterize our pop-up - TOTAL NOVICESo we purchased our 2012 Palomino Banshee B3 this past spring and are now facing that fall has reared her ugly face and we need to winterize THIS WEEK! Of course our "manual" from Palomino is useless so this is what we understand we need to do: 1. Get antifreeze for our RV - DONE - have one gallon 2. Get the camper from our storage spot - doing tonight 3. Fully set up the camper 4. Drain the hot water heater from the outside - should this be fairly self explanatory? 5. Somehow hook up the gallon of antifreeze directly to our water pump - how do you do this? 6. Pump almost the entire gallon of antifreeze through the system... 7. Turn on the sink valves, shower valves, etc to make sure that antifreeze runs through them. 8. Put a small amount of antifreeze in the top of our cassette potty and then "flush" the potty to make sure that runs antifreeze too. ADDED: 9. Run the outside shower faucet with AF also when the pump is on. ADDED: we live in Colorado so the reality is we will have many nights at or below freezing temperatures. Our water tanks are fully drained and have been since September. Our sink folds down so I'm not sure how we can leave some antifreeze in that p-trap to protect it. There is a small chance we have some tubing to hook up to a bipass for the pump - I'll have to check. What am I missing? My husband is going to have to do this all as I'm pregnant. We just need to get it done and of course nothing is self explanatory as one would hope. Any tips? Guidance? Total novice going to take a hack at it...Re: Please Suggest! Yellowstone...Well we got RESERVATIONS in West Yellowstone! Thank goodness. We considered inside the park which did have options but it would be a bit more difficult as we would have to get a LOT of water for us that we would need to carry in as well as showers, and bring a generator. To make life easier, we have opted to stay at a place with water and electric, so no generator, no worries for carrying water, and we can cook ourselves. Thanks for all the recommendations! We will stock our own groceries for the entire trip (hopefully) as well as fuel up before getting into the park, bring our own snacks and lunch every day, and plan for typical Colorado weather - as in you never know what could happen in the next hour! Hopefully our 3-year-old will have a blast. She enjoyed the moose and fishing while we were gone the past two weeks so hopefully she doesn't get too board! Thank goodness for the DVD player and individual headphones. So any MUST Do's? I was in Yellowstone when I was maybe 9 or 10. So decades ago... We are allowing ourselves FOUR full days in the park... Things I KNOW we can' miss: 1. Old Faithful 2. other thermal features 3. Fountain Paint Pots 4. Wildlife - duh 5. Grand Prismatic Spring 6. Mammoth Hot Springs 7. Grand Canyon of YSNP 8. Grizzly/Wolf Discovery CenterRe: Generator Help - need to buy in next week... JiminDenver wrote: As mentioned running generators at night in campgrounds is a no no so lets talk about your current situation. How is your battery being charged before you go? You really need to make sure you are starting off on the right foot with a well charged battery. I take our batteries out of the trailer and use stand alone chargers at home. As soon as we get home I recharge the batteries, then again once a month when not in use and I charge them for 3 days before we leave again. How old is your battery and what size is it? What are your other loads? One thing to consider is cutting back the use without sacrificing like with inexpensive LED replacements for the incandescent bulbs. There also insulated covers for the bunk ends that will help keep your furnace from running so much. Great questions - we are in Denver also (well a burb)... We have two BRAND NEW batteries that we charge OUT of the camper on their own chargers. The trickle charge that "happens" while we drive basically does ZERO. So we have been charging them for 3 days each in the garage on their own chargers... They fit in the box in front of our propane tanks, so I don't know the size...? We really don't run all the "nice" things at all. I'll flick on a light if I can't find something in the dark, we may have the radio on for an hour a day. We DO use the water pump and how water heater the entire time we are set up... And the frig but we have that on propane... So it is really just the furnace at night that we have set to 55 and that cycles off when we reach that temp... Oh and wanting to use our "modern" devices I guess...Re: Generator Help - need to buy in next week...Thanks everybody! All this helps! We are pretty confident that our furnace won't drain our battery overnight but it can take probably 60% of a fully charged battery. The furnace will run until the camper reaches the heat we set it to and then cycle off until the temp drops so it isn't running all the time during the night. Our camper has a 4'x8' deck that you can put a full sized ATV on. We use it for storage as we are using an SUV to tow and need that deck space for bicycles, firewood, lawn chairs, etc. So chances are while we are set up, the generator would be housed on that deck as it is fully covered by one of the bed slideouts. We would also lock it there. We have NO intention of running a generator at night. We just returned from camping and some idiots had theirs running at 10:40pm - SO not cool. We don't plan to be "those" people. :) The generator would travel most likely IN the camper to keep it safe. The spare fuel tank we would have on the deck for ventilation and safety. 1. Where the heck would we mount our second battery? We are just switching them when one is dead. 2. Would a Honda or Yamaha 2K generator be able to power my hairdryer or flatiron? 3. Chances are SLIM we would even ever need our A/C but most places we have gone thus far do not have electricity so IF we did ever want it... It would be nice to be able to use a feature we do have. Right? wcjeep - you mentioned a cellphone booster - what is that? We have Verizon.Generator Help - need to buy in next week...So - we aren't too savvy with understanding how to measure what kind of generator power we need to get when we buy one within the next week. We know it will be an investment. Here are the details: We have a 2013 Palomino Banshee B3: http://www.windishrv.com/inventory/362584/Used-2013-Palomino-Banshee-B-3.aspx (that's our baby - and NO we did NOT pay that much!) Why we want a generator: 1. We can kill a battery running our furnace in one night if it is in the 40s. 2. It takes hours to hand crank the lift system without a batter (not kidding) 3. We are bringing an extra battery with us with is a total PITA - and would prefer to travel with one. 4. When running off a battery - we can't use the A/C, or run anything that relies off of plugging into the regular outlets inside the camper (ie: heated beds, charging camera batteries, etc. What items we would like our generator to allow us to do: 1. NOT have to bring a second battery 2. Run the furnace all night if necessary if below 50 degrees 3. Allow us to charge: laptop, camera batteries, cell phones, iPad, etc. 4. Allow us to USE: heated beds, my HAIR DRYER, my flatiron, our A/C if necessary (it is a Coleman Mach - I don't know beyond that), etc. Things we want: 1. Not to be noisy 2. Hopefully easy to move around 3. Fuel efficient 4. Reliable Special thing to consider (we live at 5,400' in elevation. We camp usually above 8,000'... Thank you for all your insight in advance! Please Suggest! Yellowstone...My family is planning to leave in about two weeks to head to Yellowstone from Colorado. Please give us suggestions on: 1. What to do 2. Where to stay 3. What to expect 4. How long to stay 5. Supplies we will need Thanks a bunch in advance!
