I think and its just that, my opinion that the torque of the diesel is what's hard on tires combine that with pulling pretty regular and you shorten the life of the tire... I had an 05 dodge 2500 with Bfg's and the cummins while a buddy had a 2500 with hemi. We put the same tires at the same time and I got about 35,000 he got almost 50 out of his.. sierrajoe wrote: hello to all, will be needing new tires for my truck soon. need some input on which tire to buy. i now have bridgestone on the truck which were on the truck when i bought it new in 2007. i only have 29,000 miles on them, and i can go maybe another 5,000. do you think that by pulling a 13,000lb 5th wheel for the last 5 years, that the tires will ware out faster then if you dont pull at all? i always got more then 29,000 miles on any set of tires, just wondering if it is the weight of the trailer that makes them ware out faster. my truck is the 2007 1/2 2500hd GMC Sierra, LMM. it came with the bridgestone 265/70/17. E rated tire, 80PSI. thank you for any help you can give me Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereOur tow Vehicle Our 5th Wheel hooked up to my beloved truck that was stolen.
