I think the biggest factor in the equation is the diesel truck. I think and its just that, my opinion that the torque of the diesel is what's hard on tires combine that with pulling pretty regular and you shorten the life of the tire... I had an 05 dodge 2500 with Bfg's and the cummins while a buddy had a 2500 with hemi.
