Why is a tax credit needed? The only thing that comes from tax credits in situations like this is the taxpayer / consumer gets the shaft. So increased fuel taxes we get the shaft. And trucking subsidies we get the shaft. No way to win here at all. Good luck on your lotto ticket tomorrow. And how much have we spend guarding and patrolling the Gulf and oil shipping lanes. Not to mention American lives lost since.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! I was excited about getting an electric truck for my business until I started seeing tow test results. It’s still a half ton. My guess is it like other EV’s will be well suited to smaller lower profile trailers. Larger heavier units with big profiles will be better suited to diesel tow vehicles. We are members of a few electric vehicle towing groups on social media. Those pulling lower profile units are actually pretty happy with their tow experience. But those towing taller bigger units are generally disappointed when doing longer road trips. Right tool for the right job. Appreciate this info. Wifey is not going back small after experiencing my big, lol. I'm actually waiting for a review from someone who put a Lance 650 type truck camper on F150 Lightning. And hopefully tested it on chilly weather. Maybe, he'll get a better range.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! Agree! 2/3 drop in range when towing and 33% lower range just because temperature dropped to 40F --- and seeing that dealer's price of $111,540 for a Lariat (extended range) is a deal breaker. Specially that I meant it to pull my RV trailer or putting in a truck camper.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! Odds should be good for the naysayers specially with Elon's lost credibility (and current distraction as Chief Tweet and Putin and Xi messenger, lol). Triggered are we? LOL. Lost credibility? Just read he's sheet canning half of the Twitter workforce. Thats awesome. I am triggered! Who won't? Because it's neither here or there except the commonality with lots of people who find it "awesome" that Americans are losing jobs, the country (and the world) into high inflation and us and even most advanced countries may have a recession. It's also apparent and I noticed that you've not made a position on the fact that Tesla or Elon said that commercial deliveries of semi will start December.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !December is just around the corner. I won't pull my camera phone on that scary zig zag. Anyway, saw a Tesla semi obviously pulling a cargo up at the I-80 Sparks-Reno-Truckee corridor. Thinking out loud, if this is still in test, this is the best way to do it with the brutal Donner Summit climb and the chilly Tahoe weather. I also noticed some a large graffiti already on the sides. Must be some EV haters which my daughter and son-in-law often encounter along these roadways while driving their Teslas.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! Well that's not good: Tusk says Tesla is worth zero. Maybe the dude finally told the truth for once? Yes, givel that investing advice to someone who already earned the money from Tesla stock trade. And yes, I have written my will on who will get the Cybertruck, the F150 Lightning...:pRe: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! time2roll wrote: Look in the owner's manual for specifications.... not twitter This goes for everything not just Tesla. twitter is not a reliable source of information. In the mean time maybe a screen shot of the official specs at anything other than 300 and 500 miles should be found and posted. Customer reviews should be out soon after the first hundred deliveries. I prefer to wait for actual reality. I rather not speculate too despite my long career in corporate planning and forecasting. We also say in business world, those who look at crystal balls end up eating glasses -- or in Turtle's case, crows.;)
