Seems to me there resale may not be as some may think. Either way the resale value is proportional to what you pay.Re: Head to head oil burners comparisonSo the American made engine goes in the Japanese brand truck, the Italian engine goes in the American truck??? No wonder why we have brand loyalty issues.Re: 1/2 ton towable FWThe 1500HD is NOT a half ton rated truck. It has the same drive train and brakes as the 2500HD and the frame is the same as the 2500. I had an 03 and pulled the FW in my signature without issues. It has a 6.5 bed I didn't use a slider. I traded for something new because the other components were getting old. The ac didn't work and the windows were starting to go along with rusty cab corners. It had 147K and I got 9.0 mpg towing. The 1500HD is a very capable truck just tow in the specs.Re: First Trip with New To Me 2013 Ram 2500 5.7LI second the color. It has an unusually large population of folks that don't read but reply with their opinion on a subject they are interested in that is not necessarily the same as the OP.Re: Moving up 1/2 to 3/4 tonHow in the world are you guys getting 18-22 MPG HWY? I need some of that! Like I said the best is 15.5 and that was hwy. I even have 3.73 so it's not a gearing thing.Re: Moving up 1/2 to 3/4 tonI havery 6500 miles on my truck now. I have not reset the master fuel gauge and it's at 13.9 I have only pulled our FW about 200 miles but have pulled the horse trailer about 500. When pulling the FW I got 9 and with the horse trailer I get 10.5. I have not been able to get over 15.5 on hwy. Seems pretty comfortable getting 13.5-14. Good luck, enjoy the new truck.
