Had an Accord, 250K with no issues. Good luck and safe travels.Re: New to 5th wheels!Jamnw, yes to both. Lube plate is great for keeping front end clean, bed saver easily pays for itself first time you need it. Unlike others, I sometimes get distracted in the middle of a task, regardless how perfect your hitch is, if you make a mistake or forget a step, then the cost of repairs are many, many times the cost of a bed saver. I have towed a fiver for over 10 years, never needed the bed saver, but glad it's there when I eventually jack something up. Don't let pride get in the way of a logical decision. Just my .02 Thanks.Re: FIRST TIME using 6 point levelingNo problem at all. The trailer comes down slowly, front legs still in contact with ground and all 4 wheels don't come off the ground, only the low side leaves the ground, so chocks still do their job. Have had this unlevel situation many times with no issues at all.Re: Who's towing with a F-150 5.0 LiterI had a 2012 F150, 5.0, SC, SB, 4X4, 3:55 rear gears and was pulling a 6K enclosed trailer. The truck pulled the load fine on level ground, but when encountering hills is was working hard, down shifts, revving high, and was just adequate (my opinion only) doing the job. I would have liked to have had more power for merging and negotiating the hills. The suspension felt a bit squishy, and when braking hard, you could tell something heavy was behind you.Re: 2013 Ford F250 SyncWorks great for me, steep learning curve, but lots of info out there as well as dedicated web sites to assist you. Once you learn how to use it, the system is very nice to have.Re: GM Silverada Beats F250 In Frame Twist TestSame old propaganda garbage. None of the big three are really better than the other. I have never had a need to open my tailgate while traversing a ditch and frankly, I would rather have a frame that flex's a bit when off roading.Re: Big SUV or truckEnterprise rents HD pick ups for towing. Rented one every year for 4 years for high school band enclosed trailer that weighed 7K loaded. Just an FYI.Re: Anybody towing with a late model gasser?Actually the 6.7 has proven to be pretty solid. My best wishes to the OP, but to all the Ford bashers on here I would guess given some research, you'd find all big 3 diesels have had their fair share of issues. In my opinion (not worth much in a public forum) I would venture to say no one brand is significantly better or worse than the other, it all depends on your view of the situation. Personally, I have not had any issues with Ford diesels and I have owned a 97 7.3, an 04 6.0 and now a 14 6.7, only thing I can attribute to my good luck is I run mine 70 miles each way to work, no long idling periods and complete warm up cycles. Additionally I am fortunate to be able to refuel at a high volume facility and to make myself feel better, I drain my fuel filter every month.Re: REDWOOD FIFTH WHEELThe OP also posted the same comments on the Redwood owners site, sounds legit to me. I also own a Redwood but have been fortunate with no problems to speak of. But I agree with if you pay more you should expect more.MOR Ryde vs Dexter EZ Flex suspensionAs we look at the various fifth wheel trailers available I would like to know if there is a preference between the two suspension systems. We are looking at at 5er with a 14000 GVWR, your input is welcome. Thanks Bob
