Appreciate all the replies and suggestions.Re: Tailgater RG6Many thanks. Sent another email to King Controls and was told we might receive power with 75' of RG6 as a maximum, but it appears greenrvgreen has had success with even more. We especially appreciate the information provided about power cables in proximity to the RG6 coax. And, we run coax through a slide room opening, allowing for coax space in opening. It is a direct connect. Haven't drilled a hole in rv, yet......thanks again.Re: Tailgater RG6Emailed King Controls. Response was to contact DISH. Perhaps I should rephrase my question: Has anyone ever successfully used more than the 50' of RG6 provided with Tailgater? Thanks.Tailgater RG6Please forgive me if this question has been asked before. Searched and could not this specific question. We have been using the Tailgater off/on for two years. Can we use more than the 50' of RG6 coax provided? Purchase 75'-to 100' of continuous cabling....no splicing, splitting, etc. Just one long cable?...? When calling DISH, no one gives a definitive answer. Thanks for replies.Re: Popped off 2 cabinet doors already!!My carpenter husband constructed wooden "locks" that fit between door handles on the double door openings. Sort of an elongated "M" shape. Easy to insert between cabinet door handles and then again to remove. On drawer handles, he slips a venetian blind slat down the vertical row of drawer handles (similar to the yard stick remedy mentioned previously). No more cabinet doors or drawers opening while on the road. (We, too, had to repair two doors that opened and were ripped when slide was opened.) Now, as a precaution, we check the slides before opening completely.Re: Dish for my RVDon/Lou, we too have the Dish "Pay as you Go" service and were to told to use the words: "Activate" to commence service and to contact the Loyalty Department within DISH and use the word "Cancel" when we wish to turn off service. No pause, activation, deactivation, vacation fee involved. Just the agreed-on fee for the type of programming we choose. Works great for us.Re: RG6 CoaxSorry for delay in updating. Found our problem was more than likely the addition of splitter in the "satellite in" coax. As the access to this coax was very tight and required a much more agile person to explore cabling, we drilled a hole in media area and ran coax direct from Tailgater to Receiver and will just pull the cabling inside when traveling. All is well and, during this process, we even determined how to connect DVD player via tv and receiver.... Thanks for all your help.Re: RG6 CoaxThanks...the connection from Tailgater directly to Receiver (thru slide opening)works fine. We just wanted to use exterior outlet leading to Satellite In position if possible. We will be tackling this challenge tomorrow. Thanks for clarification of RG6 and RG6-U labeling. appreciate all replies.Re: RG6 Coax for TailgaterThanks for replies. I posted this on incorrect site. Sorry. We have noted that the coax purchased at Radio Shack is marked RG6-U as well as the coax in the satellite port in fiver. RG6 vs. RG6-U? Could this be the problem?RG6 CoaxWe purchased the Tailgater and would like to make use of our outside connection for Satellite, rather than running coax through a slide and directly into receiver. How can we determine if the connection for satellite on outside of fiver is RG6? It runs from outside the trailer into the entertainment center to an outlet marked Satellite. We have tried this connection but cannot get it to activate. We bought Radio Shack RG6 for use between Satellite In connection and the Receiver. Update: noted that Radio Shack coax is marked RG6-U and coax in Satellite connection is RG6. Could this be the problem?
