Would be very "interesting!" for driver and passenger, especially towing. I would not tackle Branscomb Rd. 20 south of there is a better alternative and even better would be 128 out of Cloverdale. The whole area is a great play ground for motorcycles 223,20,253, Branscomb all great for 2 wheel trips, me? I would stick to 128. More traffic but no white knuckles.Re: 128 vs 395I use the 138, 14, 395 with bike, car and rv although it is a bit longer than 395 (on my Reno - Redlands 4 times a year trips). I also have a couple routes to get around the Lancaster/Palmdale stop go traffic. Recent work (still in progress) has upgraded the lanes and I find the couple miles added to the ride are more than made up by the reduced stress of driving through Adelanto and the sections by Kramers junction. It seems driver common sense and courtesy disappear between Ridgecrest and Adelanto.Re: Polson to HeberMight be helpful if you knew which route you were taking. Lots of options for routes once you get south of Missoula, including a run through Yellowstone.36 east from DenverWill be heading east to the Maritimes after Labor Day. I am considering taking 36 out of Denver. Those that have traveled that route or parts of it have any suggestions? Know of road conditions or any pros or cons of the route? I am guessing it could be similar to the Lincoln Highway. I have driven highway 70 and am looking for a possible alternative. ThanksRe: Snobbed by Apache Palms in Tempe Az.Yep... there be liers.. My sweet never hurt a fly pit bull is now a gentle kitten...;)Re: What kind of Animal would do this?I think I had a mechanic do that... once ;)Re: Running Lightslooks like you have the correct colors for the lights. Only a few things to consider, if the new lights cover the space for the old light and especially to make sure the polarity of the LED is correct. I had to fiddle around to make sure the polarity was on. Funny how a 50-50 chance to get it right can goof you up eh?! Should be a great improvement for you,Reno NV to North Sydney NSLooking for some Ideas from Reno NV to North Sydney NS to catch the ferry to Newfoundland mid September. Plan to leave Tuesday after Labor day. This unfortunately will be a solo run due to SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) not wanting to make the run. Will not take I80 since I have done that too many times and not a fan. Have taken I70 a couple years ago from Lansing Michigan when I picked up my RV. It was winter when Lansing was shut down for 10 days due to cold and snow. I was one step ahead of road closures all the way back to Reno, NV. Excitement! Not many options from Reno to Denver, but highway 36 looks intriguing. I also picked up a EZ-Pass for the times I don't want to figure out the tolls on the toll-ways. Any suggestion to get from A to B would be appreciated. I did enjoy running the Lincoln Highway but figured I can't play too long before I think about heading from and to home.Newfoundland, Argentia or Port aux BasquesJust getting some thoughts on suggestions on travel to NFL mid September. Could be 6 or 14 hours to get to the island from North Sydney and about $300 difference of Port aux Basques vs Argentia. I plan on visiting the former US base at Argentia either way. I will be taking the RV (much to the relief of my wife!) instead of the motorcycle. It will be a solo trip. Don't think she likes the thought of Reno, Nevada to NFL and back. Not sure why? :) Also thinking about making the run to France (St Pierre Island) but heard I could be insulted anywhere in the US as there, and at a cheaper rate. Usually have had great experiences wherever I go (except for return from serving in Vietnam and our friendly Jane Fonda US residents) I am really excited about making the run to NFL and know it will be great! Have been researching so much my eyes are crossing. Guess when you get closer to 100 than 40 years old that could happen. Anyway suggestions and thoughts are welcome. ThanksRe: 30 Amp Elec plug/ is this straight forward fix?Have had good success with SUGRU for my out door extension cords. Has held up well even in cold weather. Fills in the gap and you can beef up where the plug connects to the outer covering. I think lowes may have it. I got it from amazon.
