Was to keep RV in case of power outage and evacuation due to hurricane. That meant finding a home and property that allowed parking of RV on property. Found it all in Florida! Although I don't have to shovel snow anymore I have used the RV for 3 hurricanes so far!!Re: Residential Refrigerator Issue CharKo wrote: We were able to get someone to look at our refrigerator. Come to find out, it is a BUST! APPARENTLY, this was an existing issue that had a bandaid fix on it. So... we have to get a new one. Fortunately, we can squeeze it out b of the door without dismantling the RV. Thanks for the advise. Replace it with an RV fridge. Have a rv mobile repair guy do the installation. If you take rv out you won't have a fridge with the residential one.Re: Closure ThreadsX2 dissapointed to see virus info shut down or thrown on arc and then those shut down.I say leave it be. The TT person has different issues than the MH and dies the snowbird and the full timer. Let them post where they can get answers from people in same situation. We have snowbirds here that can NOT go home because NY is under quarantine.Re: Frog in fresh water holding tank! One of the many reasons I never drink the water out of the fresh tank. :CRe: Frog in fresh water holding tank! Before you all start going off on this guy look where he is from. In Florida we have small frogs that can climb the empire state bldg and get into everythungRe: Closing campgrounds and no where to go R. Walter wrote: Wherever one's headed these days, I wouldn't want to be driving around with NY plates right now. yup I'm in Florida and they just ordered check points on I-10, 95 and adding I-75. AND flights coming from NY. Sadly the full time for rv'ers are going to be caught in the cross hairs if this. We saw a direct increase if flights and travel from NY to Florida right after they ordered a quarantine of NY. And I'm sure everyone can understand why this had to done. A flood of people coming into Florida from 'the' hotspot of the virus could totally destroy Florida and certainly would not be fair to the people of Florida who have given up so much to keep virus from spreading That said I'm not sure how the rv'er will be able to comply with the road checkpoints requirements.rv net logo changeBeen off the forum for some time. What a nice surprise to see they finally got rid of the giggity giggity old man off their logo! Thank you Good Sam. :C Re: Homeless people coming to your favorite campground!And....that is why some CG's have rules that everyone seems to always complain about. That eliminate that situation. Simplest rule is - The CG's that state no RV's over ten years old. BUT it allows them to let you in if your RV looks great. Not so great, they don't have to allow you in per their 10 year rule.M Second- Most good CG's say NO to camping in cars/vans/tents. Third - It took me just one month into full timing to learn and make this my fist question. "Do you allow permanent campers"? CG's that allowed permanent campers were taken off my list of CG's to stay at. I've had nothing but good experiences at CG's following my above requirements. It's all up to you where you choose to stay.:C
