This is how they chose to secure the floor to the frame. I originally cut the vinyl flooring in an L shape, removed the screw, filled the hole with liquid nails, reset the screw and then used a vinyl seam seal kit to close up the vinyl. I did this for the first 3 I found but the seam seal does not hold well. Probably operator error :(. Now I just cut a hole in the vinyl the size of the screw head, complete the usual process and seal the hole with a countersunk washer to keep the flooring in place. I have 6 or 7 like this with 3 or 4 more that will be addressed this year. On the bright side, at this rate I will have done them all by next year!:R All I can say is thank god for carpeting, it hides everything. I thought is was just my Rage'n that had this problem but I'm hearing more about it sad to say.Re: sound system upgrade nayther wrote: 2BlueHeelers wrote: Installed mine today and I am VERY happy with the range. In the picture below the blue blotch is the radio location and the orange arc is my reception point. This is with the RV doors closed and through multiple walls in the house. Id say about 30' through the house and greater outside the house. Probably 60-70' I was in the middle of the street and against my lot line w/o losing connection. This will be awesome in the dez! The app works well too even on an IPad. Great find nayther! glad you like it! Looks like your experiment was a little more scientific than mine. I was not as specific about some of the dropouts I experienced inside the house but dismissed them due to the number of walls. I did test an Android device yesterday (Galaxy Note4)and its performance was significantly less impressive, about half the area.Re: sound system upgradeInstalled mine today and I am VERY happy with the range. Let us know how well/far the Bluetooth penetrates the toy hauler walls. sure will just as soon as I can take it out..........which is uncertain now that desert season is over. Any update on the strength of the Bluetooth signal through the walls of your TH? I want to buy one, just need to know its range is better that the dongle I am using now. I have a trip next weekend and I am ready to buy with your report :) 50' would be stretching it, that was in my driveway with the ramp down (only access when the TH is stored is through the back) so might be less when its all closed up. Finally taking it out 7.25 to Kennedy Meadows so will have a chance to see how it works in "the real world" 20 feet is what I get with This little number now outside the hauler, all doors shut. But its a PITA an needs regular charging. I think I will spring for the Sony and hope for the best as I am camping the same weekend as you are. We can compare notes after. Are you pleased with the app? what is the name of that app?Re: sound system upgrade nayther wrote: 2BlueHeelers wrote: nayther wrote: They say 50' Dave but I haven't tested it yet, 30' should be enough though. How long is the ride? it's a 2 day round trip from Cisco but can be done in 1 day from Boca to MR.Re: Toy Hauler Pictures RangemasterP226 wrote: My humble entry in the TH section. I'm new here, been ATVing for years, but just picked up this 2002 Carson Funrunner and took it to Cisco Grove, CA. We felt like we were living in luxury vs sleeping outside! Congrats on the upgrade! I've been to that comm tower many times. Have you had the opportunity to ride from Cisco Grove to Moonrocks and back? Thanks! nayther wrote: Started the project last night. Got one leg installed, had it in and out about 5x. First the little index/mount tabs on the legs were too close together to match up with the existing mounts so had to take the angle grinder to them, needed about 1/4" to fit, took two tries. Then top of tube wouldn't go in far enough, motor mount hit vertical support, had to trim rubber piece, finally bolted in place but forgot to install lower leg (DOH!). This is all after I realized that the motor would not fit as shipped, had to remove them and flip them over as there's a crossmember right above the location. HUGE learning curve on first leg, suspect second leg will be 1/2 the time, then tackle the control panel mounting and wiring. Why do they send you a control panel with 18" of wire? I don't keep multi colored 10 gage wire lying around, gotta track that down on my way home. More to follow when all is complete. Re: Landin Gear (again!) Wizbangdoodle wrote: Good luck guys. I think you'll find you will not regret upgrading. As far as the switches go, yes, they are a bit on the cheap side. The mounting flange is just a slab of bendable plastic. I figure I'll make a custom plate and replace the switches in the future. Wow, they must have changed since 2008 when I received my BullyDog switch panel. Mine is a real thick fiberglass board much like a PC board and the switches are real nice and in there good. I installed it with Venture legs which are a bit bent and need to be replaced. I will see the quality of the new switch when I order the BullyDog set next spring, if I can wait that long... it's been "Money-May" and my Fun-Fund is severely depleted.
