Just tell your son your doing research for the forum... Problem solved.Re: Fulltiming with the Senior Pass Tom N wrote: Read the back of your America the Beautiful Senior Pass card. NOT covered: camping, tours, special recreation permit fees, etc. Camping fees are not covered??? ... but, it's the part that reads: "MAY entitle holder to 50% discount on certain fees." ... that gets me/and others lots of 50% camping discounts at the various campgrounds, including many State parks.Re: Laundry and the full timerCan't help with 'on board' W & D's as I enjoy using small town laundromats. I'm a single full-time RVer and pretty much live in shorts and T's so I don't accumulate the amount of laundry that a couple would... consequently my laundromat excursions don't take a whole lot of time or effort... and I've discovered that laundromats can be a good source of local information and history.Re: Converter location: UPDATE!I think the builders/designers just love to mess with us. On my gulfstream it was located under the dinette seat, in my HR it's located in a front basement compartment, opposite side from the batteries. Hopefully someone with the same RV as you will come along eventually... the rest of us are just guessing...Re: low flow from toliet hose nomad2013 wrote: What would I be looking for at the screen? Small pieces of gravel, sand, calcium build up... same sort of stuff that you find in the faucet aerator/screen when it clogs up.Re: EFI Reset Location? If it's not bathroom or kitchen, check your basement outlets. If the unit is fairly new to you, you may discover an outlet you have never found before. Some builders are pretty good at hiding them.Re: replacing carpetI had a residential carpet installer, friend of a friend do mine the first time. I removed all the seating, bolted down stuff and old carpet, then he sent me to a carpet warehouse to pick out the new carpet using his discount... and I helped him install it. Only took a couple of hours. The worst part was taking up all the staples and pieces of the carpet pad that was glued down. There was also a lot of cutting of the old carpet under walls and built in cabinets/closets as the carpet and pad is usually laid by the manufacturer before the walls are built and everything is installed. About 5 years later I replaced the carpet again but did it myself... took the better part of a day but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if needed. Sorry I can't point you in a direction for a company to do it... try asking friends about carpet installers they may know, check with the guy/workers that you have used for carpet in your home, or try contacting one of the installers that Home Depot or Lowes uses.Re: Older Carefree Awning handle and parts neededBuster... here's some additional pictures. I've removed the end cap and spring to accommodate the 'Pioneer Upgrade Kit'. The kit basically removes the springs and turns the awning into a manual crank up awning.... I got tired of replacing broken roller springs and this is much easier. Anyway... here are the additional pictures. This is the end cap: This is the top of awning support and roller tube with the lock doohickey folded back a bit.. that's what attached to the locking lever: And this the back side with the slide bar: Hope that helps. FWIW, I'll be tossing the old end caps and springs... and could also remove the lock/unlock bar and doohickey if anyone could use them for the price of shipping.Re: Older Carefree Awning handle and parts needed enblethen wrote: The awning lock is controlled by a cable. They come in different lengths and color. Awning lock cable The awning lock on my 1996 vintage Spirit awning is controlled by a sliding flat piece of metal that runs inside the upper awning support arm. See the included photos; I don't know where you could get the parts, but I've had good luck getting parts at Amazon. If you have any questions you might want to drop the customer service people at Carefree an email. They have been very responsive and helpful to my questions about my Spirit awning.Re: MONACO PUSHER 40' RADIATOR OVERHEATINGWhile I don't have a side mounted radiator... several years back I had overheating problems, primarily on long or steep grades. The problem turned out to be two fold. An exhaust leak at the Turbo and a split seam on the charge air cooler. I'm not sure if it was one or a combination of the two problems but after the repairs were made I no longer had any cooling issues.
