Have rig in my post. This is for fall of 2020 like to plan ahead.Re: Numerous Jury Duty notices....I have received jury notices for both state and federal courts. Explained the problem to the agency that sent the notices. Usually the clerk of the court and have always been excused. The folks in Okaloosa Co. are use to dealing with full timers. Only advice is don't wait till last minute.Re: Yellowstone/Tetons Big Site CampgroundsDid Yellowstone and Tetons this past summer. Grizzly for Yellowstone. Nice park just remember you need time to drive to different locations in the park. Fishing bridge is closed for remodel. Colter Bay RV park has full hook ups and big rip space. Plus you can just walk down the slope and sit on a beach at the lake and look at those mountains at sun up and sunset.Re: St Louis West/Historic Route 66 KOA CampgroundEast St. Louis is on the Ill. side. The park may be ok and have security I would not advise any site seeing etc. in East St. Louis.Re: Florida RV parksWell here is some insight. We are fulltime and Fla. residents. If Fla. travel is in the cards for you next winter plan earlier. We live in a resort in SW Fla during the winters now and travel north in the summer. Prior we would come into Fla. in the fall and go down either coast and exit in May on the opposite side. I-75 vs. I-95. We stayed mostly at State Parks or COE parks. Being residents and seniors state parks are half price. With the Senior pass COE parks and Fed parks are half price. Also look at Passport America and Escapees memberships for discounts. the only thing is you need to plan early.Fla reservations open up 11 mo to the day at 8am. EST for reservation and most of the popular parks book out fast. We still travel during the season to events in state and book state parks. We just plan early. In south Ga. check out Crooked River State park in St. Marys Ga. The areas around the Ga. coast are nice also. Good luck.Re: Batteries - Diesel TrucksThe batteries on my 2003 Ram were 7 years old when I changed them. We were going on a big trip and figured that was a worthy investment. The batteries in my 2012 were still going strong when I switched to my 2014. The 2014 is a Longhorn and has just about every option you could have in that year. Well in 2016 batteries went bad. Found out this is not uncommon as many of those computer operated items are always draining power. Went to Wally World an got 2 new ones. I live in a warm climate and travel in warm climates. Batteries can be a **** shoot.Re: Yosemite to Lake TahoeThanks everyone I not concerned with the mountains per say. I am one of those experienced mountain drivers. The Ram has 2 exhaust brakes auto and manual. I have just never traveled through that part of our country thanks for all the advice. We are full timers and this is part of our 6 month summer trip.Re: Yosemite to Lake TahoeMy first time in that part of the country. What I want to do is go from Yosemite to Lake Tahoe with the best and quickest route. I am coming into Yosemite from the west from Gilroy. I was looking at the map and trying to figure this out. After Tahoe it is on to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons. Thanks all info is appreciated.Yosemite to Lake TahoeYosemite to Lake Tahoe. I am pulling unit in my sig which is 41 ft. long. I see if I go over Tioga Pass I can go north on 395. Have never before been in this part of the country but I have been through many mountian ranges both west and east. Is Tioga Pass curvy or straight and is it doable. Going thru in August. Is there another way I should consider to Lake Tahoe. Thanks.
