A couple of barely windy sections about sent me off a cliff, it was no fun. you can try but its night and day different with a real 3/4 ton truck. i personally would never do a tahoe for that type of trailer again. A lot of people have spent a lot of time laying out a course and it will be a shame if it doesn't get raced on. And this is a National Hare & Hound, pays National AMA points. See even the "open desert" is not "open" sometimes. Not planning to race in Johnson Valley, though it does sound fun, but ride a bit there, is it just closed due to the size of the event, cause I cant see how they could keep me out of Johnson Valley, I dont remember any gates or anything where we camp and wouldnt hesitate to go that weekend if already planned. Hope for you guys it does open up though, would hate to lose National points and all the hard work that went on to stage the event. Good luck.Re: CARB cracks down on OHV smogFor all of you who dont see a problem with new CARB laws, I cant wait till the generator on your TH is so gooped up with smog equipment it wont run anymore. To require smog equipment on my kids 65cc MC is stupid, will make it run worse and will only be taken off by anyone who buys the bike. I wont use those stupid gas cans as they are worse and buy "fluid Jugs" to hold my gas. The pollution is negligible even at Glamis on a big weekend, and yes Ive been there many, many times. I would leave CA if possible but until I retire its here I will stay.Re: Towing with gen running?? steiny93 wrote: ouch crazy temps; our -30 really don't seem so bad right now :) Sorry, they still seem that bad to us:)Re: Trailer Aid?I keep a rolling floor jack in the trailer at all times. I like the height it goes and the big lifting surface. I just roll it under the rhino/quad when traveling. it gets to the high frame no problem though I generally use the axle and a block of wood to get one tire up.Re: 2500HD TowingYou will be fine on your rear axle weight rating. From the manufacturer(not GM) your rear axle Weight rating is 10,400#. The 2500 and 3500 have exactly the same parts except for one overload spring in the rear and different wheels and tires. Frame, brakes, motor, tranny all are the same if duramax. Your tires and rims are the weak point. Upgrade those and you are from a weight point fine compared to a 3500. You may like a dually better though with that big a trailer. Let the flaming begin.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today??? Securiti wrote: 1L243 wrote: Who makes those and how do they work?
