Ours does not have a fuel gauge. Have read both good and bad reviews, much like anything bought these days. May not be as good as a Honda, don't know having never owned one but at approx a third of the price a decent buy for us. I've never tried it on large power tools, but didn't buy it for that purpose. Last, it starts quickly even after sitting for a couple months. Maybe we have just been lucky, but if I had it it to do over, I'd buy the Preditor again.Re: Old folks in TC?All above is good advice. We have gone back to a TC from a fiver. We're in our 60's and my wife had double knee replacement. My health is good and I know with her limited mobility I have to do more, like changing the bedding. That said our motivation was simple, we can do more, go more where we enjoy with a TC. Our thinking is we will deal with the physical limitations to enjoy life more.Re: Ideas on camping spots? Picking up my 2015 wolf creek in MayIf you like flowers, the formal gardens at Shore Acres/Sunset Bay should not be missed. Accessible from Coos Bay. The gardens are part of what used to be a lumber barons estate. The main house burned many years ago and the State takes care of it now. It's a beautiful area, high on a bluff overlooking the ocean, site of the now gone house. I don't remember any camping at Shore Acres, but Sunset Bay was nice, right on a sheltered bay. When I lived in Oregon this was one of my favorite spots. http://www.oregon.com/south_coast_cities/charlestonRe: Lance camper latchesSomebody on another forum suggested these as replacements. I didn't like the 5 bucks for shipping though. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004PFYCM8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=7RX5X42I6CR8&coliid=I264DXO1P78K61 I purchased these replacements. Same cheap ones Lance uses. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UC4UF2/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Re: Delamination ThreeToGo wrote: Our 2006 fiberglass camper has some serious delamination in the nose cap. This started about a year and a half ago. It now looks like it has a very bad acne problem. Obviously, the camper is long out of warranty. The manufacturer is unable to repair it and suggested we take it to any "reputable service center". Has anybody else had experience with this problem? If so, please recommend a repair facility. Of course, we'd rather have it repaired locally but we are willing to drive some distance. Incidentally, we have no idea as to the cause. I don't see anyplace where moisture could have gotten in from either the outside or inside of the camper. We live in the Bay Area with some of the most ambient weather in the country. The camper has never been subjected to extreme heat or cold as we are fair weather campers. When not in use, the camper is stored under an ADCO cover. (We are on our second cover.) Unfortunately we are too far away to recommend the shop that did ours. Fortunately we suffered no moisture damage, but cost was around 2K. Worth it I guess as we plan on keeping the camper for a long time.Re: TC in South America / Design choicesWe are planning a south of the border trip in about two years, so to prep for it we are reading everything we run accross on the subject. Find your posts and your blog very informative. Nice to see someone talking the nuts and bolts, not just the scenery and food. Thanks!
