Hope I see one of those on my trip in the next two weeks.Re: Camping lagCamping lag. Never thought of it that way, but so true. Once I'm back from a trip I have a hard time settling down and am always looking forward to my next 'fix' of RVing.Re: HOW MUCH LONGER82 years young! Keep it up, it's probably what's keeping you active.Re: Honda 2000 running errantly - Altitude issue? BobsYourUncle wrote: Thanks for your kind words about me. I really do appreciate that. I guess it rubbed off on me because I really do love to have fun and joke around. Don't be sorry about the way things have gone with myself and my wife. It really is the best thing that could have happened and I am so much happier now than I have been in decades. Banff was an awesome weekend and I really enjoyed the time. I don't say a lot about what I'm doing now but I do have some new friends here in Calgary. And I was with one of my friends camping in Banff. She enjoys the RV lifestyle and loves camping every bit as much as I do. So it really works well. I am having more fun now than I have in the past 35 years. Life is good and I love it. BobsYourUncle: Your sense of humour is very apparent. Many people have posted about it. Also references to over wintering in your trailer. Lots of posts about that. And building a trailer. Wow. You have really helped a lot of people learn what to do. And sometimes, what not to do. :S Your posts are so amusing yet very informative too. Hope that you start posting more of your adventures again.:@ It's nice to read that you are so happy and that you found someone that loves the RV lifestyle like you do! I guess your X-wife didn't like RVing. My soon to be X didn't like it either. You wrote that you are happier now than in the last 35 years. Yikes! Must have been awful. So... happy RVing with your new friend. May you have many, many more trips together in the future years. What's next? Cross Canada, check out every province? Cross USA? You could always hit every state. Alaska? Down the coast to California and on to Mexico? Wherever you two go, enjoy the life! Well everyone, ta ta for now I'm off to pick up the grandkids in the morning and we are heading to the Grand Canyon. We'll get our kicks, "Tangoing" down Route 66!Re: Rate Increase For No ReasonIt's the same kind of thing in Canada. Heck everywhere I imagine. But if we want the RV we have to pay what they ask for.Re: How much is Motorhome Insurance? Executive wrote: Well, to answer your question...it depends... 1. Depends on the insurance company. Some will cover certain months others will not. 2. Depends on your traffic record...DUI, tickets, accidents 3. Depends on your credit report. Higher score, lower rate 4. Depends on coverage. Higher coverages equal higher premiums 5. Depends on your deductible. Lower deductibles equal higher premiums. 6. Depends on the age of the drivers So, you see...it depends.....Dennis Good answer Executive. Could be cheap, could be expensive.Re: Paying for two sites LarryJM wrote: Crowe wrote: RUDE ... that's too funny. A person is paying for two sites and who are you to say how they use them. Oh, I don't care HOW they use them. It's just unfair-and rude-to deny someone else the ability to camp because of your selfishness and arrogance. There's a simple concept called SHARING. Campgrounds are a shared resource. Accept it or boondock. There's another simple concept called RESPECT. Respect another's right to be in that campground if they so desire without you being greedy. Again, I will reiterate if the campground isn't busy when you get there, then ask, but to hog campsites because you feel you are more privileged than others is the epitome of the "it's all about me" mindset, the mindset that so many of you condemn as long as it pertains to someone else. Again TOO FUNNY ... Concept of Sharing ... So if you buy a steak in a restaurant you are obligated to SHARE THAT and not be greedy or selfish and eat it all yourself. SHAME ON YOU FOR PURCHASING THAT 16oz steak instead of an 8 oz since you are being greedy and might be preventing someone else from purchasing that 16oz steak. You don't seem to understand that when you pay for something it is then YOUR RIGHT under the terms of that payment to use it within the rules if any and being selfish or greedy has absolutely nothing to do with it and any argument to the contrary is just a red herring IMO. Larry Good analogy Larry. If you want to have two campsites or an oversize steak and you can pay for it then it is your right to do that.Re: Lights on?I keep mine off too. Don't want to bother anyone who's trying to sleep. :)Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Great pictures!
