The time has come!
It's here!!! After 51 1/2 continuous years in the work force, of which the last 45 were with the same company the day has arrived to RETIRE!! My exit interview is at 1:00 this afternoon and then I am FREE to do what I want, with my Dear Wife's permission of course! We are looking forward to starting our 1st (retired) road trip with our Travelin Gnome Jack (as in Hit the Road Jack). Hope to meet some of you along the way. Planning my route to Glenrock WY for the eclipse. Don't want to take I-25 north out of Cheyenne. Can any one provide information on route north our of Laramie to Medicine Bow and then up to Casper? WE just had our 2011 Honda CR-V set up for towing. After towing about 300 miles, we stopped to do the transmission procedure again (as recommended) and found out the battery was dead. While the radio was off, we have the Navigational package and perhaps that drained the battery. Any way, I think I read somewhere about pulling a fuse, but can't remember where I read it. Can I just disconnect the Negative terminal from the battery? I am concerned that a code might be sent to the computer during the transmission procedure and might be lost by disconnecting the battery, causing damage to the transmission. I need some help. I have a Suzuki SX4 which I would like to flat tow. I am confused over the transmission. I have a shiftable automatic, I can put it in auto or it has a "manual" mode in which I can shift through 6 gears. It has a "mode" button on the console which I can put it in 2wd or AWD. There is also a "Auto" mode on that switch too. Looking at the REMCO site, if I choose 2 spd CV transmission it is trailer only, but if I select 6 sp manual it is flat towable. It doesn't list the shiftable automatic. So I am confused as to what I have... Any help is appreciated.2.4KViews0likes3Comments
