What brand of toilet paper can I use in my TT?
We are new to camping in our TT, every brand of RV toilet paper we have tried is like John Wayne toilet paper, rough and tough and don't take **** off anybody. I was wondering if there was a commercial brand that will work for a RV beside the TP sold in the camper section. The truck is 20 years old but everything is new on it, rebuilt 5.7 with 20000 miles a tranny with 2000, new radiator, brakes, rebuilt the front end with Moog parts. The actual miles on the truck is 240000 and wasn't dogged out when I got it, I decided to sink the money into it instead of spending 10s of thousands on a new on. My main concern is over heating the tranny, OD is weak in the 4L60e,it has no problem getting to OD but it doesn't maintain the speed in OD, the constant shifting and locking and unlocking the TC is what causes the heat, from what I have read 3rd gear is 1:1 and will actually run cooler in 3rd. Everything I have read says to not tow in overdrive, 4L60e is a 4 speed tansmmssion. It runs great the truck is in tip top shape, I just don't want it to hunt for gears, I want to find the sweet spot and that seems to be in 3rd gear going 60-65.368Views0likes0CommentsTowing in 3rd gear on a 1300 mile trip
I have a 1997 GMC k1500 Z71 5.7 liter with 20000 miles and a 4L60e transmission with only 2000 miles, I will be towing a 3000# dry weight TT from Louisiana to Colorado. I plan on breaking the trip into 2 1/2 days of travel, question is will it be OK to travel for 10 hours or so at 2500/3000 rpm in 3rd gear towing around 3500#?
