I am so sorry to hear about Spotacus. He was such a special kitty and my heart breaks for his loss but I know that he is thrilled to see Czarny and Rudy get such an awesome new home and family. I'll shed a tear for Spot and then go hug my kitties in his honor. I look forward to reading your new adventures!Re: Heaven Acquired a New Angel Calvin's GiftTears! Hugs for you. I'm so sorry for your loss.Re: Homeless Cat -- Now Spotacus' LegacyRIP Alexander. What an awesome life he led. And I am sorry for your loss. Lots of hugs your way.Re: Online wholesale RV dealers - any experiences?I'm comparing 2 units. The first is a Keystone Hideout fifth wheel. The closest dealer to me is an hour away which is not much in the grand scheme of things. The price difference after everything is about $3500, and I'm counting travel expenses to pick the new unit up. The second unit is a travel trailer we just saw yesterday, but through initial price difference is about $6500 before any negotiations have been done with the local dealer who has a lot 5 minutes away. The price I got yesterday was from the RV show in Dallas. I do prefer local for all the reasons listed plus just staying close to home, but my pocketbook says otherwise.Online wholesale RV dealers - any experiences? We're shopping for a new trailer and just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experiences with an online dealer. I would prefer a local dealer but the prices I've been offered from the online dealers are several thousand dollars different. As far as I can see, the dealer has several lots as well as the online business. We've looked at both fifth wheels and travel trailers. Thanks in advance for any help!Re: RV Camping for family with > 6Texas State Parks allow 8 people per site usually. I don't know where you're traveling in the state but there are definitely decent state parks throughout. Happy travels!Re: Have you found a greener alternative to wipes? My DH is in construction and we use the rags they sell at the paint stores. It's basically cut up t shirts. It's inexpensive, and if they get really gross,I throw them away. Plus the pieces are small so they're convenient to use. Love them at home and in the RV.Re: Yet another LED strip install. What did you use to install the strip on the side? The reviews on most of the strips I read saId the sticky wasn't that great. Thanks for sharing though because I've been on the fence about these for the last couple of months. I like the option of having the lights even if you can't use the awning. Looks great!Re: How cold will I be in a Jayco hybrid?Live and camp in Texas. Camped as hot as 110 and as cold as 18. To me, hot is worse than cold. When we do our winter camping, I pack a sleeping bag that I use as a mattress pad and I also use an electric blanket. Even the nights that we've accidentally let ourselves run out of propane, we stay warm. Never really noticed bad condensation on the tent ends. During summer, we usually camp under shade. If we don't, we use the solar blankets on the tent ends. It's usually bearable. Sad to say that we seem to stay cooler in my hybrid than my parents TT, an Open Range. Just my opinion....Re: Ice Chest -- has anyone ever tried this?We did it for a party once and it worked great! But I made the mistake of not emptying the cooler 100% and left a couple of drinks in there for about a week and discovered that the salt eats the aluminum cans. Shouldn't have been lazy:)!
