Victron wrote: Default settings for LiFePO4 batteries The default absorption voltage is to 14.2V (28.4V, 56.8V) and the absorption time is fixed and set to 2 hours. The float voltage is set at 13.5V (27V, 54V). Equalization is disabled. The tail current is set to 0A, this so that the full absorption time is available for cell balancing. The temperature compensation is disabled and the low temperature cut off is set to 5. These settings are the recommended settings for LiFePO4 batteries, but they can be adjusted if the battery manufacturer specifications advise otherwise. The Victron default 2 hour absorption time seems excessive for daily charging so the smart app gives the option to change the settings to whatever is best for your particular battery which differs between brands.Re: Inverter and battery sizing to power my camper microwave 3 tons wrote: I don’t have BB myself, but the bargain-bin batteries dare not match their 10 year warranty (who can tell what grade or composition their cells are??), or tech service, and cylindrical cells stay cooler (due to assembly air gaps), thus no outward swelling of battery case…Quite naturally this all comes at a premium, but it’s nice to have the option - Just saying 3 tons There are people that tear these bargain bin batteries down, identifying the cell manufacturer/wires etc and bms..On YouTube,so you pretty much know what your buying and what's inside.. Example-Redodo(Zooms) Ganfeng cells/LiTime (Ampere time). Eve cellsRe: Generator Gas StorageSomething as simple as an inexpensive bike rack works well. I saw this one, but they don't have built in heaters, which I may not even need here in Florida... https://dakotalithium.com/product/dakota-lithium-12v-100ah-deep-cyle-lifepo4-marine-solar-battery/ Ampere time 100ah lifepo4 with eve cells-$299 Redodo (Zooms) 100ah lifepo4 with Gangfeng cells-$299 I have two of the Redodo and couldn't be happier.Re: Portable Solar Generators pianotuna wrote: jay, Cost depends on capacity. For example a 200 watt inverter vs a 3000 watt inverter, so what you are asking for is not going to happen. These little things are really feature packed for the price...Now there coming out with the UPS feature included in that tiny box that weighs 10 pound and it's kinda cute..lol 600W AC Pure Sine Wave Inverter (1,200W surge); 268Wh Capacity; 430W Max. Fast Dual Charging (Solar+AC); LiFePO4 Battery with 2,500+ Life Cycles to 80%; 6 Ways to Recharge (AC/Solar/Car/Generator/AC+Solar/AC+Adapter); 9 Outputs for Charging Multiple Devices at once; Smart Control & Monitor in BLUETTI App; 200W Max. Solar Input; Easy to Carry/ Fast Charging/ Safe & Reliable/ Cost-effective For $200Re: Portable Solar Generators pianotuna wrote: build your own. 1 Sio2 100 amp-hour battery 2 battery charger 3 inverter 4 solar panels 5 charge controller 6 hire a handy man Give us a price list of a build your own with the same features and a visual of what it looks like... :BRe: Mounting cell antenna on a spring?I use Wilson magnetic antennas and yes,I have knocked them off several times..In my opinion,I wouldn't mount one without some kind of spring or give in it for my type of camping..Something has to give when you hit a branch or object with the antenna..My wife always says, your antenna is knocked off and dangling again..lol I use a Yagi when parked for a while, mounted on an expandable pole.Re: Lithium batteriesEven though it is possible,I chose not to parralel my 120ah battery with either of my other 100ah battles..Re: Connect multiple portable solar panels?I have two 100 watt portable panels that I connect to one of my two portable Renogy solar controllers using a Jackery Y branch..They have the Y branch clones on Amazon...Not sure how your Renogy controller is connected but the two pannels connected, need to go into the input of your controller..The Y branch connects the two panels to make one inputto said controller..
