Regardless for many people the older they get the wealthier they get and the easier it is to purchase a vehicle. My first vehicle nearly emptied my piggy bank. And part of the issue. Not everyone “should” be able to afford a new 4x4 crew cab pickup. But there sure are a lot of stout car loans out there…. We are going to buy a new Ford Ranger this weekend so we set up financing through our credit union. Credit Union offered the same rate from 37 months to 75 months (we are doing 36 months and hoping to pay off in 12 as it's our only debt). No wonder people can buy such pricey trucks when you finance them for over 6 years. I've seen dealers advertise 84 month low interest loans. That's why people keep buying them, you can get a mortgage on it!Re: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild? LouLawrence wrote: I can or cannot read and or post as I please. I don't need your help and I certainly don't need your permission! You are correct but if you are contributing absolutely nothing to the thread then why even be here? Seriously? You just want to knock someone's work? Surely, you must have something better to do with your time. Just avoid the thread and move on, it's the decent thing to do.Re: New TV manley wrote: mkirsch wrote: So, you paid almost sticker price AND your 3 year old truck? Wow, what a deal! :R No, Mr. Smarty Pants... With 43,325 miles on it, the dealer gave me exactly $3,389 less than I paid for the 150 new in 2018. Their selling price was slightly under sticker. Satisfied? So you basically drove the F150 for about $90 a month, cheaper than leasing :BRe: 2022 Toyota Tundra RevealI like it and depending on price may buy one.Re: Opinion on WeightsWhen I went from an F150 to a Ram 2500 I had to get a longer drop shank.Re: Exterior/Interior coatings on new travel trailersYou'd probably be better off having a local detailer do ceramic coating on it and pocket the savings. Or, if you're feeling froggy, ceramic coat it yourself and buy a new bbq!Re: Equilizer vs. Blue ox SwayPro?Personally I'd stick with the Equali-I-Zer hitch and nail down loading and tongue weight. I don't think you're going to gain anything by switching out hitches. If you were using the old chain and sway bar set up I'd say to upgrade.Re: Do you let you kids drive your motorhomeI have loaned my trailer out to 3 people in the past. My only responsible brother, my father in law and my best friend. My brother and I ran a trucking company together and could both drive doubles so I knew he could handle it and that if something happened he could afford to fix it. My father in law has driven trucks and is the most anal person I know when it comes to maintaining, repairing and handling any kind of vehicle. Also has the means (and ability) to fix anything that would happen. My best friend borrowed it a couple times after he lost his 40 footer in the divorce. Again, has the means and ability to fix anything that would happen. Other than those 3 I wouldn't lend it to anyone else.Re: Crummy headlights - Can't see, need upgradeI changed the entire assembly on my 2002 F250. Same bulbs, different housings = HUGE difference. Took me about an hour to change them out, another 30 minutes to adjust the aim. I think I spent $110 on the new housings and it was worth every penny.Re: 2011 F150 parts back ordered specta wrote: I'm quite sure that the other manufactures are having back orders on a few items too, its not just Ford. 100% correct. Waiting on a EVAP canister on DW's Infiniti because it is on backorder. COVID has wreaked havoc on most industries. I was on a work call yesterday with a furniture manufacturer and they are backordered months on a number of items because of COVID.
