Apparently this one was built during the transition. The quality is definitely better than our last DP, a 2008 Endeavor, and it was a very good unit. The biggest differences are slideout seals and mechanism, basement storage construction, furniture and woodwork quality, etc. Like I said I have owned five over the last 20 years, doing all maintenance/repairs myself, and enjoyed all of them. TRAVEL ON!!!!Re: Mystery SwitchI just bought an '07 Lexington. Did you ever find out what the red light switch was for? I have no idea.Re: Overheating because fan won't come onI had a 2005 Frtlnr chassis with side radiator. It had a tendency to overheat. I took it to Gafney, SC, Frtlnr motorhome guys. From the factory the fan modulator was missing. the main thing I learned was that the radiator and cooling system were marginal and the rpm's had to be kept between 1800 and 2100 while in any kind of grade or steep terrain. This was more evident in the earlier chassis, but it solved the problem.Re: U-Line under counter ice maker not working. Is it freezing but not making ice? If so the compressor is working but the icemaker itself is not working. Replace icemaker unit inside, around $100. I replaced mine two years ago, not a hard task. If it is not cooling I would replace the whole unit if it is aged.Re: HWH jack problemMine will sometimes do that when I start out on unlevel ground. It takes some time to correct itself. Try turning off your battery power at the compartment disconnect switch. Your jacks should be on your chassis batteries. Often this will right a solid state circuit.Re: Install 3rd A/CI have added one on two different DP's. No extra support needed. Remove your rear exhaust fan and install AC. Buy one that does not use the ductwork and has controls on the unit. I ran my wiring on a #10AWG SJOW cord on the side of the MH so I could plug directly to the pedestal via an extension cord. Now when I go to a CG with 30 amp only, which is often, I can have this AC separate from the 30 amp plug, or when on a 50 amp I can plug to pedestal and have 3 AC's if needed. This settup really does work well. The hardest part was having my wife carry the new AC up the ladder.Re: Samson Tires????I had an older MH that I didn't want to put much money in. Installed 6 Samsons and drove the MH 3 thousand miles through 100 degree heat with zero problems. I gave the MH to a relative and it is being used regularly with no problems. They rode a bit rough but I can't bad mouth them and I really dislike buying Chinese.Re: FRIEGHTLINER CHASSIS STEERING ISSUEi'm guessing, but it sounds like your pump is dying leaving you with less hydraulic power.Re: Florida KeysBahia Honda State ParkRe: Truck tires vs RV tires on a Class AI have used both on three different DP's and put many miles on both. The truck tires did seem to ride a bit rougher but not a big deal. I never had any problems out of either until they were six years old. Change them by then, truck or RV tires.
