Symptom were would shut down after about 30 minutes but I could restart it after and hour or so. Then it got to be running less time between restarts. Figured it was from being too hot. Not so. Took it to an Cummings/onan service center and they first found the mother board burnt. Replaced board but didn’t fix the problem. Then with new board installed it was determined that it was the actual armature and the part that is around it to make the electricity had grounded out causing the problem. Replaced those and all is good except for my wallet. $2200 roughlyRe: shower fixtureChanged mine out but went to a plumbing supply store used by contractors to get a model close to the original. The new one sticks out into the shower about an inch farther though. The main problem I had was trying to use the old fittings (don't even try) save yourself some headaches. The new pex fittings and pipe worked perfectly. I did have to open up areas above and below the shower valve. Went to Tap Plastic for panels to cover the openings. It worked well and looks nice too.Re: Slide seal replacementOver on another forum. "irv2.com" you may find someone who has had this problem, just do a search for slide replacement seal. Hope it helpsRe: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Took rig in to have the furnace fixed. The problem was no ignition for a flame. Turned out to be a faulty igniter and a dirty orifice. All is heating well now. I went to an authorized Suburban furnace service shop.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Thought I would look for all the electrical grounding points on my rig. This way I can add them to my yearly maintenance check list to assure me the ground connections are all clean and tight and not corroding. Just maybe I can eliminate a future loose ground problem. Just bet most rv'ers don't know where all their motorhomes ground points are located.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Finished removing and replacing the caulk on the fiberglass roof side seams. Glad that is over. Next year I am going to install Enternabond tape. Just before finishing the above, I removed the carpet and tile and installed Laminate flooring throughout coach except under captain chairs and doghouse. Looks very very good and the coach looks so fresh and larger inside.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Put items back in that were taken out prior to removing carpet and installing new laminate wood floors. It looks so nice now compared to the old carpetsRe: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Changed out the bedroom TV with a 22" HDTV and added a shelf for a DVD player. The TV is mounted on an adjustable swinging mount and it works real nice, this took a couple of days. I also just finished my yearly maintenance on the Generator and changed engine oil and filter, lubed chassis and changed small trans filter. Now I have started to change out the 25" RCA front TV with a 32" HDTV. Took good pictures of what is actually up there behind that old TV. It was eye opening to see the lack of insulation under the front cap. I also removed the steel cage and am modifying it to eliminate the formed plastic enclosure. Not all those details have been completed but I will work out that to make something that looks real nice I hope.
