I think one of the southern campgrounds has showers also. Go to nps.gov, and you can find all the info you need.Re: Help w/visiting Rushmore,Yellowstone and Tetons? It's tough giving advice without knowing your focus and what your goals are. We just got back from the South Dakota area. What you are planning is going to be lots of driving and backtracking. My advice is Wall drug, half day. Rushmore half day. See devils tower on your way to Yellowstone. The major attractions in yellowstone are located on the figure 8 roadway inside the park, and will take at least 5 days. Tetons are south and 2 days to see those attractions. Most people do not realize how much driving is often involved in all of these areas. In the summer, you need to add in massive traffic volume. And in yellowstone you need to stay flexible. It is not unusual for animal stings to back up traffic for 20 to 40 minutes. Enjoy your trip.Re: What a shameWe have learned over the years to check the scheduled activities in any area we are heading to. That way, we can change our itinerary if we need to.Re: Fall visit to the Black HillsPerfect. Thanks guys. We are mapping our trip now, and this will give us the info we need.Fall visit to the Black HillsWe are planning a 2 to 3 week visit to South Dakota in September after the crowds ease. Normally, we make plans, and reservations. This year, we would like to play it by ear a little bit, moving when have seen what we want in an area. Would we be okay, without reservations? Thanks in advance for your advice.Re: Carsick dogYou could try introducing car travel slowly. A trip around the block, a short drive to the park, etc. Find his comfort zone, then slowly increase the length of time. Dogs often adjust to travel as they get more comfortable. A thunder shirt might also help.Re: Use a 50 amp adapter instead of 30 amp service? We have never had the issue, but are prepared, as we have heard some stories. My question deals with the surge protector. We have one that us into the post. Can you use the surge protector between the 50 to 30 amp adapter or do you have to do without the surge protection? Thanks!Re: Favorite BreakfastBreakfast sandwiches. Either croissants or English muffin, bacon, Canadian bacon, or sausage, egg, cheese. Fruit or juice on the sideRe: Possible anal sac removalI had to have it done on my poodle. After years of no problems, he had suddenly developed constant, raging infections. We tried everything including weekly emptying, antibiotics, packing from the inside out, etc. I worked at a Veterinary specialty center, so high quality care was readily available. After months of struggling, a very talented animal surgeon removed them. We kept him in ICU for 48 hours, on heavy pain meds, on good pain meds and antibiotics for several weeks, fiber additive for a few weeks. He recovered very well, and we have had no issues since then. It should be a last resort, and done by a vet who has lots experience in this area.Re: Need dessert helpTry some No Bake Cookies http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/peanut-butter-chocolate-no-bake-cookies-recipe.html
