Color is about 3000-3300k in temp, and they are easy on batteries if you are boondocking, maybe 4 to 5 watts per panel, versus 18 for the 921 bulbs they are replacing. Low in heat generation too... I have used the same now for two seasons, work great, no duds yet. :) .1 amps each I think. VS stock 1amp bulbs.Re: Switching to inverter power during power outage whiteysax wrote: I did some looking around and found my converter. It is mounted right behind the fuse box. The inverter is on the opposite side connected to a chain of batteries. Am I correct to assume what I experienced during the power outage was the converter powering the 12v utilities? In that case, why wouldn't my inverter power anything? It's pretty tough to follow the wires from the inverter as they eventually run inside the undercarriage. My fridge is residential and has no LP hookup. I would say with 99% certainty, you're 12v utilities are powered directly by 12v. Not sure what you're inverter is powering. Like suggested, look for additional wires from the inverter and figure out where they go.Re: Charging AGM Batteries MrWizard wrote: .3 *105 ah 31.5 amps just TWO batteries would require a charger greater than 63 amps to exceed the charge rate i have 4* 139ah AGM's paralled with the rest of my batteries just the agm's would need .3*556 = 166amps to equal .3c the other 400 amphrs would need another 120 amps so i would need almost almost 300 amps charge to excedd the 286amps that equals .3c what i'm saying is if you have multiple batteries, to HIGH a charge rate is very likely a NON-issue once you get above 3 batteries it very hard to get to .3c I have been learning lot's on this site and find battery/solor/charge controllers and all the related terms very interesting. One term I'm not familiar with and see a lot is... .3c etc. what is the "c" stand for?Re: Using diesel-formulated motor oil in my 2-wheeled RV EldIr wrote: Amsoil motorcycle oil. End of story. You need motorcycle oil, not automotive oil. Amsoil cycle oil in all my bikes.. cars, trucks ..anything with an engine.Maintenance chargers? So now that a lot of us have our trailers put away for the season, I'm wondering what everyone uses for a battery maintainer? Of course this pertains to those of us who don't/can't stay connected to shore power all winter. Last winter and going into this winter, I'm using a C-Tek 3300. Two seasons on my gp 24 and sg looks great. On a somewhat related note, I use a Battery Tender Jr. on batteries for my motorcycle, snow blower and lawn tractor. What are the rest of you folks using?Re: Ground Breaking 100 watt Eqvt 120 vac Light Bulbslowly replacing my CFL.. (most of which are likely 10 yrs old) as they die with LED's. I have 3 LG LED in my stairway to the 2nd and 3rd floors. These lights are NEVER turned off... ever. Bought at Costco about 3 years ago. Very bright, nice light. Just picked up a Walmart branded bulb to replace a light in the kitchen over the table. A three blub hanging fixture. The light from the LED is nicer than the CFL's. We'll see how long the Wally bulb lasts. Replaced all my trailer lights with Chinese LED boards two years ago... no failures and much greater house battery life. LED all the way.Re: K & N Air filter Oil type?Funniest thread I've read here ever.Re: K & N Air filter Oil type?Been using K&N filters for years... likely damn near a million kms between all the vehicles. NOT ONE SINGLE ISSUE. EVER. Buy one filter and forget it. Spring and fall, wash, oil and off you go. If you're getting oil on your sensors, you're over oiling the filter... PERIOD. And for the record, I keep detailed millage recorded for every car/truck/van and bike for the last 20 years. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them has got better mpg, after switching to a K&N. And I've never bought another filter for said unit again. One can of oil lasts me years... drop the $15 and carry on. If wet filters are so bad, I wonder why most of my bikes have all come from the factory with them???? lolRe: Generator to power TT. Chuck_thehammer wrote: I see Honda has a setup to connect 2 generators together using a parallel cable/circuit. 7000 watts at 240 volts OR 3500 and 3500 at 120 volts. so it is not possible to get 7000 watts at 120 volts.. but 7000 watts at 240 volts. So I can NOT use this generator to power my TT as I can only use one side... as posted at the top my TT has a 3 prong 120 volt @ 30 amps. Thank You for your help. You're making this more difficult than it needs to be... your genny has four 120-volt outlets and single 120/240-volt 30 Amp twist lock outlet. Plug your trailer into the 30amp outlet and you're done.Re: TIme to replace tires... Radial or Bias? pitch wrote: Passin Thru wrote: Buy some Michelin LTs and put on it. You'll never look back. They handle grooved roads, rutted roads, if you run off the edge they track back on. Used them for years, Hate TT tires. No one makes a 13" lt tire! Or a 14" LT tire from what I can find. And I can't find anything in a 14 that has a higher load cap than the 13" tires on it now.
