That truck has 200,000 miles now, hauled lighter camper then 9 years/25,000 miles of Snow River. Bed on that truck is fine,we still have that one- had frame tie downs. On 2016 have Tork Lift and Fastguns. Camper on 2016 now, waiting to see if Canada will let us in this summer!Re: Arctic Fox 1150 is breaking my 2016 Ford 350 duallyWe have a Snow River 8 ft on 2016 F350 long bed SRW. The wings of the camper clears the side rails and camper sits in the bed on two layers of 3/4 inch plywood so it clears the cab and obviously bed rails. We’ve put at least 50,000 miles in the 14 years we’ve owned it including 3 trips to Alaska from Michigan. Nothing damaged on our truck. No off-roading unless you count Alaska Highway!Re: Holding tank valve leakFinally figured out what was going on after filling and dumping the black tank about 5 times (at least it is now pretty clean). We actually found it is leaking at the pipe outlet of the tank, then it must have run along the zip tie (it was securing the sensor wires), that was on top of that seam so we could not see the moisture. Then the water ran down to the bottom of that pipe and moved out to the dump valve, where it would drip onto the bottom of the compartment. Once we took the zip tie off we could actually see it. LOTS of trial and error. So decided to take the camper to the camper fix guy, so he could put the correct sealant on this leaking seam.Re: Holding tank valve leakI did not describe the leak well-sorry. It is leaking on the tank side of the valve assembly. It seems to be at the junction of the valve and the pipe from the tank, but it is on the underside of the pipe, so all you can do is feel the water, cannot see it except where it drips in the compartment. We put in a new valve yesterday, still leaks. We thought it was most likely leaking at the seal, but with new seals and new assembly, now not so sure. Took it apart again and started over. Then it got too late. Back at it tomorrow. Thanks all for the suggestions.Re: Holding tank valve leakThank you all for the answers. Oh, sorry I must have posted in the wrong section?? Thanks for fixing that. We will be taking the pipes apart pretty soon. Camper is put up for the winter, but I want to get to it before it is TOO COLD to work out in the barn!Holding tank valve leakThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 29767215Holding tank valve leakSuddenly our 20 year old camper developed a leak from the black tank dump valve. We were sure it must be the seals, so replaced the valve and seals. Still leaks, so it must be the pipe itself or something on the flange. Has anybody repaired a pipe?Re: Sirius radio antenna blocked by camperTurns out Sirius now supplies a tuner and 25 feet of coax with new antenna for the cost of shipping ($9) only. We never got around to moving existing antenna and had cancelled last year. Before a quick vacation west, I decided to check about a new plan and maybe finally fix the antenna, when Sirius offered us this equipment. Just got the package, will install hopefully this week. This is exactly what we needed. Only downside is figuring out where to mount the tuner. It is pretty small so will find a spot.Re: Sirius radio antenna blocked by camperWell that is how we think since this is the first new truck we have bought since 1976. And yes, 25000 miles is brand new in my eyes!! So you guys are more brave. We owned about 15 work trucks over the years-- all used. And we owned 7 pickups including this one. Two of those bought new. Can't believe it has been that many. We installed all our own two-way radios in the work trucks but not in-dash. Thanks for the help and encouragement. I will watch the video about 20 more times and maybe give it a try.Re: Sirius radio antenna blocked by camperHaha on the used car salesman remark!! But I thought they would want to get a labor charge out of us since we already said we were not buying a second receiver! We will have to take the radio out to get at the back. There is so much crammed in there now there is no way to see or do anything without removing the radio. The video clears things up so maybe it will be easier than we thought.
