I think I posted it and my fix in this thread.Re: Keystone Premier Bullet 31BHPRrockhound, you and I need to talk. I have a 2011 31BH and we've been thinking about moving to a fifth wheel. What kind of fith wheel do you have?Re: Keystone Bullet Premier SabreCanuck wrote: CampinEarls wrote: DX wrote: I have a 31BHPR and the skirting over the wheel well on the slide out side keeps breaking off due to wind. I have been back to the dealership before and the fixed it the first time by putting some aluminum braces under there but after this last trip I noticed it was breaking again and the aluminum braces were also broken. Anyone having this issue that has gotten it resolved thru the dealer that resulted in a permanent fix? I have had 2 braces break, actually the screw on one broke off at the frame (the one beside the sewer outlet) and the other one stripped out a couple different times (the one between the left tires). I removed the braces and rebent them so it held the skirtings at 2 spots instead of just one screw holding it. I just used self tapping screws. I haven't had a problem with them since then. A little more work obviously but I don't even lookin the mirror anymore... NEVER LOOK IN MIRROR AGAIN. That's the fix I ended up doing...I don't look for it in the mirror anymore either,Re: Keystone Bullet PremierMine has been great! I plan on selling it though because now my wife wants a fifth wheel. I'm good with that though because all of our friends have fifths. I've had minor issues with mine just like most everyone else. Really not too big of a deal.Re: wholesale rv club Buck62 wrote: Fishinghat wrote: No, don't know anything about a wholesale RV club selling RVs. As for underpricing a dealer, most experienced RVers have found discounts from so called "List Price" of 30% or more off from dealers, so keep that in mind. One thing that comes to mind is how can they significantly undercut a dealer when their costs are going to be very similar? People don't buy RVs like they buy cars, and franchised dealers aren't going to sell to agencies (wholesaler) a lot cheaper than you could buy one from a dealer. Both salesmen and agencies need a commission to stay in business. As for a "wholesaler" buying from a manufacturer, that would cut out the franchised dealer, and manufacturers are reluctant to cut their own throats doing that. These sellers have no service department, no large sales staff, no sales manager and no actual store so they have almost zero overhead just people taking orders on the phone. Dealers wil give 15-25% off some models but still have to cover their dealership overhead. I would consider something like RVDirect if they carried the brand, model and floorplan I was looking for, they only carry certain brands. As far as dealer service, I bought my motorhome at a dealership that is a 7 hour drive from my house (best price) and have been back a couple of times for service when it was new and found a few bugs. I have an independent RV service center that I use and they actually know what they are doing, all techs are master RVIA certified. Dealer service was hit and miss. Buck62, not true...Look up Colerain Rv in Cinncinati. That is Wholsale RV Club... It's a full service dealer. Sorry to bring up and ol thread but I'm thinking of buying from them and did a little research.Re: Keystone Bullet Premier CampinEarls wrote: 65ShelbyCobra wrote: CampinEarls wrote: This here is what I did...--> Door fix pyro383 wrote: Is anyone having an issue with the outside kitchen door where the screws are pulling out of the clip that holds the piston assembly. Oh, my bad. the door side on mine is still tight. No problem...I wasn't complaining. I am trying to come up with a repair so that the screws hold or add a plate to disperse the tension. I sure did. The problem is there is too much of the load concentrated in that one area where the gas strut hinge mounts to the door. That gas strut is VERY strong. What I did was made a bigger (wider footprint) piece of metal and mounted that to my door where the original hinge mounted. Then I mounted the original hinge to that. The idea is to spread the load of the hinge to a larger area. Do you know if there is any support bars within the door itself where you added the additional screws? Can you post a pic when possible? Mine was on the left side when facing the kitchen. As far as I know there aren't any support bars in the door itself. I don't think I ever took a picture of it. I had some other issues with my door since then and Keystone replaced it out of warranty. I kept the brace in case it happens with this new door. I could probably get you a picture of that next to the hinge to give you an idea.Re: Keystone Bullet Premier pyro383 wrote: Is anyone having an issue with the outside kitchen door where the screws are pulling out of the clip that holds the piston assembly. We had our 31bhpr in for service before our warranty expired and sure enough, the rear axle was bent (and no we didn't hit anything). Anyone else have theirs replaced? Did they replace both? How long did it take? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :) I'm going through this right now... MartyMoose, do you have any info on the axle that you ordered from the OEM Store? I "spoke" with them via email yesterday and they needed the serial number off of the axle, I searched for it on Sunday but couldn't find it. There was a sticker on the axle that I took info from and provided it to them. We think we have the right axle that I need but they need to verify it with the serial number...I just have to look harder I guess.
