I'm surprised no one has chimed in with the proven solution for flat towing later model used crv. We tow a 2010 crv. After several instances of dead bettery we bought a remote fuse switch that solved the problem. Note newest year Honda's cannot be flat towed because of different transmission now being used. We always winterize and put water in fresh water tank once we get past DC, heading south in January. Bottled water till then works for us. If forecast is favorable before we leave, we will put water in fresh tank before heading out. Pay attention to weather before heading out. Enjoy.239Views0likes0CommentsRe: Awnings
We have an awning equipped with auto retract capability depending on wind speed. I turned off the auto retract feature and strap the awning down with screw pegs at the corners and utilize ratchet straps to hold awning in place. Works for us. I winterize the washer hot/cold water connections thru access panel in bedroom closet using short washer hose and bucket. I run RV antifreeze from outside hose inlet utilizing water pump. Yes it does. I had the fuse for our radio, fuse #34, remoted with a kit. In our case we mounted the switch below the steering wheel on the plastic facia. I struggled to make the connection to the fuse block, located under the dash above the parking brake, so I went to a car stereo shop and they made the connection for the price of a cup of coffee. Now we tow for 8, 10, or more hours without battery issues. PS, we had battery issues before the switch...oh, I forgot to mention, the kit is available from FuseMaster.504Views0likes0Comments
