I'll admit to short shifting passing a few others while towing up mountains. What is so cool about "rolling coal"? I know what it is I just don't get it. Nothing is cool except in their own minds. Probably the same ilk that put huge semi stacks through their bed cause they think they have a 'real' truck. I've never found a ram that I couldn't catch after someone rolled coal on me. And that includes my wr250 single cylinder motorcycle.Re: Portable RV GPS.....Recommendations?Happy with my phone and Google maps. Accepts voice commands ('hey Google, is there a cracker barrel along my route?') and re-routes me based on real time traffic conditions. I can see this being an issue for those without a cell phone though.Re: Orlando to Fort Meyers to Fort Lauderdale - repair shops?Wonder if transmission issues are related to the clutch release slave/master cylinder? Perhaps it simply needs to have air bled from the system. Certainly can make it hard/impossible to shift until you stomp it a few times since the clutch would fully disengage given enough air in the lines. I've had it happen to me before. Unless he installed the wrong transmission fluid. I suppose that could cause some drag/coupling until things warm up. Good luck. I'd try a dealership. Sometimes the prices for service can be quite reasonable and they usually get it right or make it right.Re: FCA Emissions Scandal SettlementHe posted a link about them having to pay a settlement for cheating emissions qualifications. Not sure how any of that is on the OP?Re: Engine replacement . Ecoboost and GM 5.3Maybe for a race series short block and some additional work, but I suspect there is more to it than just a short block swap at that price. Or maybe that mechanic has to buy some metric wrenches to work on it so jacked up the price? :)Re: Ecoboost 3.5 Towing MPG Sucks Perrysburg Dodgeboy wrote: With that size TT you should look at the f-150 3.0 diesel. But what I don't understand is where are all the guys that claim to be making 12/13 mpg towing a 32' 10K# TT with their Eco Boost at? Dump the EB and get the baby diesel if you want fuel mileage. I made 24 mpg coming home for Knoxville running 85 mph average. Try that in a EB. Don With current diesel vs gas costs, the Ecoboost would have been cheaper per mile to operate on fuel costs alone. Do the math.Re: smaller roof ACHave you tried running the generator with eco mode off when trying to start your a/c? My 2000watt inverter generator will only start my 13,500 when not in eco mode. Good luck!Re: DirecTV HD ChargeWife and I dumped satellite years ago when I put together a spreadsheet of our 'must have' shows and found that most can be purchased in complete seasons for less than we were paying for 3 months of sattelite. I know it doesn't answer the OP's question, but we certainly don't miss satellite at all and you can take your shows with you. Just need to shift your viewing time to coincide with the season releases.Re: GM SUV Quality opinions wanted. Maybe expedition ecoboost.I'd avoid any of the active fuel management stuff on the GM models - or if it's not failed yet, have it turned off.Re: Educate me on hotspot data usage...What you'll probably find is that you get 50gig and then the possibility of being deproritized (essentially, your data will be slowed) if the tower is congested. Depending on where you are, this may never happen. I use tmobile and at&t in rural areas and almost always go over my Max, but have never been slowed yet.
