I went to have gramma a spare key made for her 03 keystone the other day. They were out of keys. The dude told me to use mine since they are all the same. I was shocked it workedRe: Insulating a/cHere is a copy of it http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f68/air-conditioner-improvements-39868.htmlRe: Leveling Travel trailerSince it is already on blocks, I'd would just use a jack or two or three. Move all of one side fairly evenly. I used a five gallon bucket full of water and a clear hose to level mine. Push the hose I the bucket starting at one end (secure one end in the bucket with a rock). Push the entire hose in the bucket, ensuring no air bubbles are in the hose. Put your thumb on the hose and pull the none secured end of the hose out of the bucket. Keep that end higher than the water level. Ensure you don't spill any water. Hold the hose next to the frame which is the correct height. Adjust water level so the water level is the same as the frame. Then use the hose to ensure your trailer frame is level when you make your adjustments. The fact that one side sank could be a good indication you should add another peer, or you need to increase the surface size of the bottom block of your existing peers.Re: ac fan wont cycle on/offSet the thermostat to fan and then you can cycle the fan speed of high, low, and auto. Then change back to the ac. Your setup sounds just like mine, which is a 1014 model. Mine on auto will run on high during the heat of the day, and then in the evening when the demand on the Ac starts to drop, the fan speed will change to low automatically. Once it hits the temp, my compressor and fan shuts off.Re: 03 keystone 298BH water heater switchThis unit doesn't have a main control panel like some, nor does it have a switch in the water heater box like my last two. I didn't think about looking in the breaker box, so I'll check there just in case. I've looked all around and just haven't bumped into it yet.Re: Water heater issuesDoesn't the water heater have a thermo cuplupler or something to detect the flame lite, and thus when it does not. If so, and it is bad, it may turn off the gas since it did not detect the flame. I'm sure someone can jump in and explain it better, or correct me.03 keystone 298BH water heater switchAny ideas where to find the electric on - off switch for the water heater on a keystone 298 BH?Re: Newbie danoren wrote: Your trailer's GVWR is 7910 Lbs so you will be looking at tow that can safely huddle this weight. The best way would of-course be to pull the trailer (loaded) to a scale this will give you the real weight of your trailer . Here is towing guide that will help you to chose your tow. From first glance I would say you will have to go for 3/4 ton truck. I like that towing guide. I wish a guide existed to give each vehicles typical net load capacity.Re: Which trailer hitch Curt or Drawtite...but there is a catchI'm pretty sure I put the curt receiver on my truck with the same rating about two weeks ago. I replaced a hidden hitch, which was lower rated and it did stick out from the bumper more than the curt. I ordered my curt from amazon. I left it in the amazon cart for a few weeks and they kept dropping the price. I purchased it when it was just about $200. They and etrailer were sold out of the next lower rating. I'm very happy with the curt. It is a solid hitch and lookes very nice.Re: Is it good enough? What they are saying sounds pretty much like good info. The only way to know is to "know". Read the sticky thread about legal weights. It outlines what you must or should obey as far as the law is concern ( weight limits of front and rear axles and tires). If that criteria is met, it comes down to will the tv pull the tt at a reasonable speed. Then you will have a better expectation of if you should even consider this. This information comes from someone who has tried to tow a tt through hills with an under rated vehicle. Yes it did the job, point A to point B, but I was not willing to do it again.
