Should I use Rt 13 or Rt 113. I've used 13 in the past, but a lot of traffic lights so I was wondering if 113 was better. If any one is familiar with this drive I'd appreciate any feed back. The trip planner says it's about 15 minutes longer using 113, but I don't think it considers all the traffic lights.Re: nj to scExit 4A, SR1 to route, 35 miles to exit 97 route 13 south to bay bridge tunnel.Re: Rockwood 2016 2906WSThere is not pass thru because water heater, pump and filter are at that location on the other side, so no pass thru. There are a couple other draw backs like you have to open slide to access kitchen area and heavy tongue weight. I have 1500# bars for my WDH and has corrected that, but still don't put heavy items in this storage area. Access to kitchen area hasn't been a problem except in crowded parking areas and when the batteries are stored in garage for winter. I install 2 batteries to make sure I had enough power to operate all slides when not hooked up to AC power. We did a 10 week trip across country this summer and trailer was very comfortable to whole time. Can't speak to the other unit, but this one is very nice.Re: StabilizersI had the same problem with my Rockwood 2906ws. Added 2 pair BAL stabilizer bars to rear scissor jacks and 2 scissor jacks in the middle in front of the tires, 1 on each. It's now almost rock solid. Wife hardly notices any movement she's in bed and I'm walking around trailer in morning before she gets up. Happy wife, happy camping. Good LuckRe: Rockwood 2016 2906WSI also have concerns about this Dometic refrigerator and won't know until next summer. I plan on keeping it running even at home so I can test before 2 year warranty runs out. We really like this trailer. It was very comfortable the entire 10 weeks we were away. I think Rockwood has winner floor plan, but did a lot of things borderline to keep the cost down. However, we will deal with any issues as they come up as we haven't seen a better floor plan for the 2 of us and at this point in life I don't want to deal with another new trailer. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.Re: Rockwood 2016 2906WSHope you mom recovers well. Hope your long trip is a success. We finished our 10 week trip west from NJ and back 10/1. We had a wonderful trip, 12,540 miles, 8000 towing trailer, 1118 gal of fuel, 57 bottles of wine, 2092 pics, 72 days, 71 nights, 12 national parks many other attractions, and a great trip. We had several issues with the trailer, refrigerator problem, water pump issue, and a flat tire. Thank goodness for TPMS, caught tire problem before totally flat. Up graded to load range D tire. I'll replace the rest later. The trailer is winterized and we are waiting for spring. Have great holiday season.Re: MileageI've had my 2015 F250 6.7 powerstroke, longbed, crewcab 2 years and check my mileage almost every tank fill up, the old fashion way. Actual mpg about .2 better than computer. I average 13.5 to 14 mpg around town and up to 18 on interstate. Drove to Florida last year (1300 miles each way) averaged 15 to 18 mpg depending on how fast 65 or 80. Truck has bed cap higher than truck cab and truck weighs about 9000# and closer to 10,000# loaded for trip. Just came back from 10 week trip west, 12,540 miles and averaged 11.2 mpg by computer for the trip. Includes about 8000 miles towing 8400#, Rockwood 2906WS, travel trailer. Hope this info helps.Re: Fresh water tank back filling thru pumpWater pressure in is regulated at 44# and regulator has gauge showing out side pressure. If the new pump doesn't fix the problem I'll have to install a check valve as suggested. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.Re: Fresh water tank back filling thru pumpI thought it was OK, but seems to be doing it again. Very slow back flow, couple days to fill fresh water tank. The trailer is still under warranty, so when I get back from trip in October I'll have him fix it. Until then I'll do as you say and may be it fixes it self. Thanks for the info.
