Who says memories are made by buying stuff? Go do cool stuff and take pics. Come home and make things with your pics... Calendars, coffee mugs, scrap books.Re: 6.7 Cummins Engine Oil Temperature? Brisk wrote: What oil temps are you guys seeing while pulling long grades?? Mine runs a bit higher than water/coolant temp.... 195 water means about 205-208 oil temp. I have noticed that there is a direct relationship between turbo boost and oil temp (which makes sense, but I never thought about it before)..... Under normal circumstances on flat ground i'll pull about 4-8 psi boost and the oil temps will be in the 205-208 I mentioned above.. However, if there's a headwind/sidewind and I'm using 20 psi to maintain highway speed, I'll see oil temps in the 220-235 range. Without a corresponding rise in coolant temp.Re: 6.7 Cummins Engine Oil Temperature? Cummins12V98 wrote: It's a dummy reading. Just drive it and don't worry. Not when the size of TTs are limited to (roughly) 32-33-34' long.... And I can go to any dealership of nearly any brand and buy a 40-41-42' 5er. In other words.... Not when they don't exist.Re: Pull-Along vs.5th Wheel Tony B wrote: What advantages, if any, are there of a Pull-Along over a 5th Wheel? NoneRe: Pulling A Train Bionic Man wrote: Welcome to the forum. You have stumbled onto one of the more controversial topics here - that of double tow. I would advise you to do some specific research on your own, as you have already, and will continue to, get bad information here. Most states allow double tow. East and West coast states are the exception. Very few have a requirement that the first trailer be a 5er (although I wouldn't tandem tow with a bumper pull). Each state sets their own length limit, although in my experience, I have never seen nor heard 1st hand experience of it actually being enforced. I have double towed for about 15 years now. With a lighter boat, and a properly set up hitch on the back of the trailer, you are unlikely to have problems. A few photos of mine over the years. I still tandem tow my fishing boat, but we have moved on from the ATVs, and the new ski boat is too big to tow behind the 5 My experience very similar. Been doing so with a few different configurations. From 37' toy hauler with jetskis.... To 40' traditional 5er with utility trailer and SXS/ATV. Over length. 74' long. Limit in my state (OK) for a power unit and single towed unit is 70'. Limit for a power unit and two towed units is 65'. Go figure. Safety is not specific to (well maintained) equipment. Safety is an act or state of being.Re: 50 AMP cord storage allen8106 wrote: tvman44 wrote: I like my method better. Since our rig stays plugged in at home I simply disconnect and put in the back of the truck. :) same here Ditto. My cord is only ever in one of two places... Bed of truck, or powering the RV.
