I've started it up when the temp is 35* without using the block heater (I forgot to turn it on before leaving) and it took about 3-4 minutes for the engine heater alarm to quit going off and on as well as the "Wait to Start" light to quite blinking off and on.Re: K & N filter change Me Again wrote: Rink wrote: We're one mile of gravel road to the blacktop from the house. No dust past the filters. They work for me! But if I was the OP and after reading 10 pages of negative responses I'd be running to NAPA for the paper to. So you are running oil analyst regularly and have verified that your K&N filters are not letting dust by? That goes for everyone. Show us your oil analyst reports. Or is your finger better than a lab on checking on this? Chris Why in the world would I run an oil analysis....NOW....on a 13 year old truck with 272,000 miles that runs like the day I bought it???????? And as for the Ram people not honoring their warranty if you have a K&N filter.........The Dodge dealer, where I bought the truck, sold it to me and the Jeep dealer where we got the Jeep sold us the K&N before we drove it off the lot. As for my finger test....it has served me just fine over my lifetime. The rest of this mumbojumbo is just that. Reminds of the sky is falling....the sky is falling...Re: K & N filter changeWe're one mile of gravel road to the blacktop from the house. I would never run pink into the hot water tank....5 gallons of pink or more??????Re: Done for the WinterI always store it with jacks down to the point that I've taken 60%-70% of the weight off the tires. If you fear rust or dirt etc. getting on the jacks, put a lubricant on them. They were made to be used...don't be afraid to use them.Re: The engine will last but the coach isn't worth itWe bought our coach when it was 10 years old. We went to the RV shows etc. before purchasing ours and I noticed that most of the working parts, water pump, refers, toilets, hot water tanks etc. were of the same brand we had and really nothing had changed. The previous owner had just repainted and put new Michelins on and the Cat engine only had 77,000 miles on her. I tend to keep rigs for a very long time and I see no reason this coach won't last as long as I keep kicking. She is stored indoors during the winter along with all the other toys.Re: Thoughts on this DPNADA says $66,000 Average Retail, Low retail is $54,800. Didn't use any add-ons (the add-ons are only to be used if not included in the basic coach). Low retail is where you want to be IMOP. If you like it and it checks out good you can always wiggle up with the above numbers in mind.
