The truck pulls with no problems...trailer is 7400# loaded (water tanks empty). The biggest issue will be the Payload capacity of your truck...more than the pulling capacity. I make sure all the "stuff" is in the trailer...which leaves payload for the hitch and passengers and tongue weight. This combo puts me right on the maximum payload.Re: F150 EcoBoost with Max payload package Super Crew fireman41 wrote: Gdetrailer wrote: georgefarl1945 wrote: I have 2015 3.5 ecoboost. XLT SC. I pull a 30Ft Dutchmen with wet weight of 7200#. I Get 9.5 mpg when towing. I get 17.5 daily driving Hmm.. that empty mileage is pretty pitiful.. My 2013 F250 XLT Super cab with 6.2 weighs in about 1000 lbs heavier and gets me 15.1-15.3 combo city and highway empty and 10.1-10.5 towing 7K lbs of trailer.. Not to mention my available cargo is 3415 lbs to boot! To add insult to injury didn't cost as much as a F150 ecoboost with max payload either :B That's pretty good. I uaslly avarge 13.8 with trips getting close to 15 and towing my Jayco 26bh I'll get 8.5. But I like the sound my engine makes when I put the skinny pedal down :) Hummm...so you get ~15% less mpg without towing and ~19% better when towing. Not knowing all the factors (driving style, speeds, terrain, etc), I would say that for most people they tow far fewer miles than normal unloaded driving. "Insult to Injury"...why bother with either? He has an Ecoboost and wanted some useful information...not "I 2 I" ;-)Re: F150 EcoBoost with Max payload package Super CrewI have a 2012 SuperCrew EB 4x4 with the 3.73 rear end. Pulls my Jayco White Hawk 29REKS with no problem. It is lifted with 34.25" so the effective rear end ratio is ~3.50 and it does great. The trailer loaded is about 7300# and the truck comes in at 6000#. I am right at the limit of payload but no issues with E Rated Tires and a "good" WDH. As for mileage...8.5 towing. What is the size of a kitchen skylight in a Jayco WH 29REKS?I need to see if anyone knows the measurements of the Kitchen Skylight in a Jayco White Hawk (29REKS). I am looking for a sunblock to keep the light out and the TT is in Port A and I am in New Braunfels. It is not the standard 14x14 which you can readily buy the reflective sunblock...it is a much longer skylight.Re: Towing heavy with an F150?Didn't rear thru the entire thread...but heat soak was mentioned because of turbos on long climbs etc. I have a 2012 Ecoboost and highly recommend the Wagner Intercooler. MAKPerformance has them on sale for less than $900.00 w/ free shipping. It is a German Made IC without any "plastic side tanks" and a HUGE improvement over the stock IC. It bolts up using the stock mounting points. http://www.makperformance.com/2011-2014-Ecoboost-F-150-CACIntercooler-Upgrades_c_1013.htmlRe: How did you begin this hobby?Other half ALWAYS wanted to go to the coast...Port A Texas. She has been going there since she was about 4 years old. She would always tells me at the last minute...Let's Go!!! I own a statewide moving company and the weekends are our busiest times. It was not convenient time wise at the last minute. It was also next to impossible to book a hotel the day of or day before. We went to a "show" to look at TT's and we liked what we saw. On Labor Day of 2014, a dealer was open (Sunday) and I said, Let's Go Look. I had already secured financing (which she didn't know about) and we went looking. She fell in love with the Jayco White Hawk UltraLite 29REKS. Went inside and started talking deal. Got the deal done and looked at her and said...start making reservations. She didn't believe me that we had just purchased the thing. That was That!Re: Portable Power...mounting ideas Been looking at the Yamaha EF3000iSEB with boost technology. With a 50amp to 30 amp plug...I think it could run the AC/lights/micro/TV...fridge and water heater could run off propane. From ad: The 3000 Watt EF3000iSEB weighs 149.9 pounds and starts with ease with its electric starter. Designed to be acoustically sound, this extremely quiet generator (53-60 dBA) features Smart Throttle which allows greater fuel efficiency and noise reduction. It will run up to 19 hours at ΒΌ rated load on a tank of gas. With features such as Built-In Wheels, Boost Technology, and an Oil Watch Warning System, the EF3000iSEB is a powerful yet portable medium-range inverter! Worried about this: Rated AC Current / Maximum 23.3 / 25 amps @ 120VRe: Portable Power...mounting ideasHadn't thought about warranty issues...still have 1 year and 3 months left. Hope this pic works mounts over the tongue and propane bottles. Holds 300#...could plumb a Propane Generator in easily at this location. http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Cargo-Control/Stromberg-Carlson/CC-255.html No window at front of trailer...bedroom tho.Portable Power...mounting ideasI have a Jayco White Hawk 29REKS with dual AC units...50 amp plug. I am wanting to be able to camp without hookups on Port A Beach. I am wondering if it would be feasible to "mount" a generator/invertor (something quiet) somehow on the rear bumper. I want it to be secure from easy theft. Then I have to decide on size and fuel. On the beach, I would probably just use 1 AC unit, Flat Screen TV and Lights. The fridge and hot water heater could run off propane. If I got a propane generator, I already have a line run from the front bottles to a BBQ Grill hookup that we don't use. I want to do this right and spend good money ONCE. Any suggestions/pics would be greatly appreciated.Re: Ordered a New Laredo 30BH Today.Laredo 30BH Nice TT
