CHV_FRK wrote: Do you mean just the top or are you talking about the entire slide moving out? We have only had on turn that I know of where the slide leaned out a bottle of water and the handle of our daughters wagon went under the slide and sandwiched between it and the floor. The only thing better was it was on the linoleum. The linoleum lost that battle. I was contemplating slide locks because my daily driver is a newer Camaro with the track package suspension. I like to corner! Camaro as a tow vehicle, now that sounds like fun. No, ours pops out at the bottom. It's like that last little lift the slide does before "clicking" in place. That's where its failingRe: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hey Folks, Been a while. Hope everyone is doing well. Just got back from a 30 day road trip up to the North Atlantic US region. It was most relaxing and we hated to park the 5vr in its spot. The roads were absolutely terrible but we survived. I have a quick question. Does anyone else have issues with the dining slide popping out while in motion? Ours comes out 2-3 inches while in motion. I'm sure the roads have a lot to do with it but we've been through much worse. It does close again and seems to lock. We didn't have that slide loaded down with stuff so now its time to figure out why. We don't have but 35k miles of road time.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hi Guys!, Hope everyone is doing well. Seems we're all facing similar issues these days. I washed the RV this summer and when I washed the roof I too had numerous areas that the white wore off and I could see a yellowish rubber material. According to the RV repair center it's a normal occurrence. (remember my roof replacement a few years back?) The materials came from Jayco so I speak with them some day. The fridge issue of going from OFF to frozen fixed itself. All the Ammonia leaked out. I watched a video on how to replace the cooling unit on You Tube and it's a pretty straight forward repair. Planning on doing that over the winter. Trip to Yellowstone got canceled, my truck with only 34K miles dropped a transmission and turbo while running errands. Good old Dodge left me holding the tab because it was 6 months outside of it's warranty, dealer did give us 10% off of our $6900 bill. At least it broke while we were near the homestead, it would've really sucked to be in Montana when it failed. Spent a whole 4 days camping this year, bummer, life throws us curves sometimes but we will survive. Everyone is healthy and we have a home, food and a job and that's all will really need. Next year will be better! Be Swell, E&ERe: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Well that weekend didn't go too bad, fridge goes from off to frozen solid in 4 hours. It was snowing pretty good and the weather didn't get warm till we got home. Guess we'll analyze that issue when it gets warmer. L&M, we have some flex as well when we hook up but no separation at the seam. The service manager suggested getting it inspected ASAP. He told us that Jayco has pretty good frames that hold up very well. He guessed that there may have been an overweight vs bad road issue. He must have a super crystal ball or some experience, who knows. Kayak, we had our recall done last Thursday and we get no loud hum with 30 amp shore power @ 2 locations or with generator. I discussed your issue with service manager and he thinks your problem may be your power source. I have an on-board power monitor and my input power stays within 110-130 range (green). If all check out as good he suggested another switch box.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hey L&M, It's been awhile. Our Dometic microwave bit the dust last fall (bad park power). We spent all winter looking for replacements, we've discovered that no one makes the 22" microwave any more, not even Jayco. We wound up getting it fixed at a local repair shop. We purchased a small table top model from camping world and they "transferred" parts from the new one to our old one so we wouldn't loose the lights and exhaust fan. Total cost was $150. We got lucky. Can you post some pictures of your separation? I can inspect ours and give you a comparison. Kayak30336, thank you for your input. We get ours replaced at the end of this week and with your information we'll be sure to check it out with both shore and generator BEFORE we leave. They can always put the old one back in. Getting ready for a 4 day weekend (after recall) to flush the pink stuff and ready the 5vr for the 4 week trip to Yellowstone/Rushmore. Hope everyone is well,Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!We contacted JAYCO about the transfer switch recall and they told us any major service center can do the recall. Now if we can get some one to do it. We're getting allot of "we don't do recalls for JAYCO" guess ther's no money in it. It's a shame, it's getting close to "upgrade" time. Guess we'll travel 200 miles to the nearest JAYCO dealer. Side note, Hope everyone has been well and Thank You to all of our veterans. Be safe and start stockpiling.;)Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hello Folks, long time no hear. Hope Everyone is well.Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hello Everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Been a while since we've revisted the group. Hope everyone is well. We've graduated to empty nesters but we still need to remain part of the workforce until we get debt free, whenever that is. The 5vr is holding up very well so far. Seems every big trip we take I get to replace something due personal error. This trip I had to replace the rear leveling jacks, Texas is nice and level except the parking lot I pulled into. Darn those are close to ground. I did find a great source for the new one though. Has anyone installed "scraper wheels" ? I'm experimenting with ideas to prevent this in the future, I'd be interested in what y'all have done. L&M Our bed lifts go to the outside of the supports and miss the plastic guide completely, I'm fixing that setup over the winter. Has anyone had problems with the ladder mounts? One of mine "popped out" and I can't source a new one. Hope to hear from the group to hear how your days have been. Happy Camping!Re: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!Hope everyone is doing well. Summer is here once again. Quick question for our group, has anyone replaced their mattress? Ours has a distinct settling in the center. Our biggest issue is weight. Thanks,
