Do not know if it is just the age of our rig or not but the tires max pressure is 80 but the rims max pressure is 65 That sounds like a mismatch - the wheels should always at least match the max pressure of the tires.Re: Sway with new truckRegarding the truck tires, I have now read conflicting information. Some say to inflate the truck tires to the sidewall max, and some say to keep them at the manufacturers recommended pressure. I generally inflate them higher than the recommended when towing, but a little lower than the sidewall max. Regarding the hitch head adjustment, everything appears fine with the new truck - even better actually than the old truck, which always sagged slightly.Re: Sway with new truckAt first look, the trailer actually appeared to be a bit nose-down on the new truck, so I was considering raising it a notch. Perhaps that is not a good idea if a bit nose down is preferable to a bit nose high.Re: Sway with new truckTongue weight is always the first thing I consider - however, nothing has changed as far as the weight distribution of the trailer and it pulled fine with the old truck.Sway with new truckI have a 27' Salem travel trailer with a Reese WD hitch, and previously towed it with a 2005 Tundra. I would get a little bit of sway on the highway when a big rig would pass, but no big deal. Just bought a 2016 Tundra - bigger and more powerful than the 2005. Nothing changed except the truck - same trailer, WD hitch, etc. - but I am now experiencing sway when anything passes me (even cars and minivans). Any ideas?Re: Trailer wheels - 65psi? I think that's my plan now. Looking at LRD Maxxis tires.Re: Trailer wheels - 65psi?Well that's all good to hear - I would hate to have to replace all of my wheels. I know Maxxis ST tires get good reviews on this board - any other recommendations (or tires to avoid)?Re: Trailer wheels - 65psi?Ok, that's what I was afraid of - needing 4 new wheels. So since I may be buying new wheels, is there a better size that I should move to? I am currently running 205/75-15. I've heard that moving to LT tires is the best idea, so maybe this is a good opportunity to do that?Trailer wheels - 65psi?I would like to replace my current LRC tires with LRD. The inly thing I can find stamped on my current wheels is "1870 lbs". Can nayone tell me if these wheels can handle 65psi?
