It looks interesting.Re: Harvest Hosts wapiticountry wrote: Harvest Hosts doesn’t publish the host locations because that is literally the only thing they have to sell. I would bet almost all the hosts would offer the exact same accommodations to non members if they called and asked. Those hosts expect you to buy their products, that is how they were sold on being hosts in the first place. It is marketed as a way for those businesses to increase their sales. If the hosts get a string of non buyers just looking for free stays those hosts will become ex-hosts. They aren’t RV centric charities, they are small businesses looking for new customers. This person gets it. Good post.Re: HwH is getting RidiculousJesus, dont be such an ass. It’s not a good look. I have taken Doug to task a few times over the years, but in this case, he is absolutely correct.Re: Lack of RV Parks... Jimmy Buffet to the rescue! Unfortunately that's Econ 101. It's crazy that the demand keeps outpacing the supply so much. ^This! Man, I know there are supply issues, but the profound stupidity of many, is astounding! I really almost cannot wait for another recession. Irony alert!Re: Onan’s New Inverter Based Generators - Mike Mas Bruce Brown wrote: Just can't admit you were wrong, can you - even when all your quotes were highlighted. It’s an affliction called narcissism. I’ve always wondered why he puts his name in every thread title. Now we know.Re: Onan’s New Inverter Based Generators - Mike MasI’m chuckling at this latest reply. Just can’t admit there was inaccurate information relayed. I have lost a lot of respect for you, Mike. Happy trails.Re: Onan’s New Inverter Based Generators - Mike MasSo Mike…the fact that my QD7500 had an inverter doesn’t mean it was an inverter generator?????Re: Onan’s New Inverter Based Generators - Mike MasEither everyone is talking past each other, or something else is going on here. I’ve read numerous posts from Mike and they are nearly always spot on. However, my old QD7500 in my previous 2005 Newmar had an inverter. I had to replace it along with the rotor and stator. That was not a cheap repair. The engine speed was dictated by the load being called for. Upon startup, the engine would run about 1/2 speed before falling off to idle after a couple of minutes unless there was something calling for amps.Re: DP Engine HeatI wouldn’t put my beer in there.Re: Any one else giving up snow birding due to the covid gsk1140 wrote: I've been following along reading peoples responses to this question. I am 60 years old and can't believe what I have seen in the last 10 months. All I can say is uh.... yeah. I am not a product of this culture and neither are the majority of you. I personally would rather die on my feet than beg on my knees to pursue my God given rights to live freely and make my own decisions in my life. I don't need anyone to think for me or speak for me. I believe in what people do, not what they say. Everyone of you has the same right or at least I was raised to believe you do, to pursue whatever path you feel is best for you. I understand the issues on both side. I see what the demographic of this disease is, and those of us over 60 with underlying pre-existing conditions need to be more cautious. As a population, there is no surprise that the majority of our citizens are in poor health, due to the great abundance we have access to. We lack discipline and are selfish when it comes to having what we want. Don't get me wrong. I would rather be in this position than those that live in other parts of the World that live in fear for the most basic needs every day. I have lived it and witnessed it, which has given me the perspective I have. We are a proud and independent people, but we have lost sight of what brought us to this place. Get off your social media and your phones and enjoy what you have. All we are, are our experiences. I for one, want more good ones than bad. Thanks for letting me share. I love the freedom of our RV BRAVO!!!
