Paradise Lake and Blue Ridge KOA. I’d prefer to use my fifth wheel as opposed to a hotel but don’t want any drama. I have a 40’ fifth wheel and haven’t been to either CG. I want easy in and out with plenty of room. Any suggestions? Thanks!Re: Camping at 27 degrees.Below freezing unhook water hose unless heated, fill fresh water and unhook any sewer hoses. store hose in heated storage. As long as your furnace is running and your underbelly is heated your good.....Re: Front Cap QCMan wrote: We had the same issue so I got a piece of sunblock material and attached it to the end of the carport at the top. The bottom is held by a thin line attached to each bottom corner and tying off to a small cleat on each side. When leaving, I untie the bottom lines and drive under it. So far it has worked well for keeping the sun off as it faces due west. Hey, thanks and I've done that as well with a tarp, problem is my front cap is just inside the building so I had to always have something heavy in the center on the ground to tie off too to keep the tarp from continually rubbing the front cap. I did find a company that makes out of cover material to just cover the front and roof. I ordered it and will try to modify it for my front cap only. I keep mine waxed but it's a 2015 that looks like new, don't want that to change.Re: Do you unhook for the night? LadyRVer wrote: Always unhooked when staying a campground. I stayed one night only (ever!) in a WalMart. I still unhooked and left truck about 6" forward from trailer hitch. Just felt if I needed the truck for an emergency or to get away, I could go. Same here, like the idea of the truck ready to roll in a hurry in the middle of the night if needed.Front CapI park my fifth wheel under a canopy but the sun can still get the front cap, I keep it waxed but is there any company that does just a cover that would only cover the front cap?Re: Bedroom door comes open during travel.Mine has done that a few times so I just leave it all the way open and put something in the floor against the door to keep it open while traveling.Re: Cooper AT3 XLTThese are on my dually and love them.Re: Gas prices.Coming in late on this but I have to say make the trip to see your Dad first and then worry about the other trips. I lost my 80 year old Dad this past year due to complications from covid..... One day he was in perfect health, working in the yard and playing golf and then gone 4 weeks later. You can camp anytime, like already said..... leave the camper behind and hit the road. Hope it all works out!Re: Air Bag issues/new InstallYou would be suprised at the trucks we install air bags on because they squat pretty bad when hooked up to what I would'nt consider an issue.
