Bungee wraps for awning travel.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadJust a quick note, My issue of one unit "hunting" or reving and "unreving" while at idle was resolved by opening the service access, unscrewing the carb drain to let the gas out of the bowl and then w a #10mm open end removing the bowl and bolt from the bottom of the carb, then proceeding to spray the insides with carb cleaner. reassemble and presto, no more hunting at econ or regular mode. PS if you are not a mechanic, nor am I , the tech support will walk you through this fix over the phone.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadTried to clarify my above post with an edit. Thanks for the charger info. Do you leave it wired / clamped in? So you dont have to mess with the battery case?Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadThis is the Hard Start Capacitor (spp6 for $12.98 not the spp6e) I used and the old one I removed was pretty close to the one in the photo, to get my 15,000 Duo Therm to run on the Two. Spp6 Link for install, I bought it locally from wholesaler The post On July 13,2011 by Jim Berry , currently 3rd to last states use the Spp6. However mine has to run with out the converter. My single 12v battery is a 2006 and probably doesn't hold a charge well. Whenever I need some more watts I shut off the breaker. So Am I happy that I don't Have a 3000 Honda or 2 lighter Reds? NO!! However I have $1,000 to buy other stuff for the rig. It took some slight screwdriver / socket work to get one unit running. Which I do said same thing on the rig now and then with a square screwdriver on those darn screws that manage to come loose some how. Not to mention use of the lug/ torque wrench on Flat tires. Never did get one of those screwdrivers or tire iron lug wrenchs from the dealer either nor that kewl brake adjusting tool. Anyway I can now run what I want for the time being anyway and not over rumble the neighbors. Not perfect , but my part service was 5 business days including the day I called. Happy with a new item broken , of course not. Glad to have customer service that was better than my "lifetime warranted" windows which the manufacturer no longer carries the hardware for in their warehouse. Which cost me $45.00 for the stupid part from a different distributor. In short the Hard start took me from 15,000 no AC to AC w/out converter.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadNice post Randall, much more tactful than I ever could have been. Thank you!!!Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadBought 2, 1 had a problem , Promptly repair part received very satisfied! Had to put in ac assist coil 15,000 works w 2, and one wouldn't run 900w micro probably the converter was on , my converter draws major league.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator Thread MrRchitty wrote: BENT ARROW wrote: For the Honda you can buy a extra after market fuel tank or just a tank cap with hose on Ebay and use your own tank for extra run time. With 158 pages here has anyone come up with the same setup for the Champion. Might save trouble and time refilling tanks if 2 are stacked. I though about drilling the cap and adding a gas line but theres not enough space unless I tear the cap apart. Guess I will start checking bottle caps for size and thread just to give it a try. Professor did a whole write up on this. If I'm not mistaken, it appears twice. With photos. The Little Champ, however is gravity feed and a supply tank would have to be at the same level as the tank in the Little Champ or slightly higher, allowing for proper siphoning. Well I tried out the professors method of gas tank extension and found it worked well to extend the method to include a "T" in the line to link to my parallel 2000i's. I found extra caps and did not use the stock caps. Turns out that a Honda lawn mower cap fits , 2 caps at Northern Tool was less than $10.00. Threading in the caps with an evenrude quick connects after drilling slightly under size then with some gas tank repair putty was enough to make the caps sturdy when connected. So far it seems if you use the check valve to pump up and keep the gen tanks full when you begin the check valve will pump em full to allow for a vacuum feed to continue. :)
