All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsSchwintek slide issueI'm having a problem with my slide and the dealer isn't very helpful. If the bedroom slide is left out overnight, only the rear motor will engage. Usually if I try 15 to 20 times it will eventually kick in and both sides will work. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and what was the resolution. It's 300 miles round trip every time I go to the dealer, and I've made the trip 3 times without any satisfaction.:(Re: RV Dealer reviews? Not sure where in Texas you are, but I bought mine in Lubbock from Pharr Rv. I felt that the dealer was at least if not more important than the rv itself and haven't been disappointed with my decision.Re: Winter living In WyomingWe spent two years in Meeteetse living in our Sunnybrook most of the time. We were fortunate enough to be able to set up in a back yard which shielded us from a lot of the wind, and the daytime highs were better than you will have in Thermopolis. We had our water line insulated and heated, plastic over the inside of all the windows, but didn't close in the bottom. We would go to Worland to spend a few days a week with my wifes mother, then I would blow out all the water lines and drain the hot water tank. Other than taking a while to warm up the bed, it wasn't too bad. We did eventually get a heated mattress pad which made a world of difference. We used an electric heater whenever we were there along with the furnace.Re: Pickup bed stepI use my tip toes.Re: Pulling a 5th wheelI used to tow with a dodge 3500 with the 11 foot bed. I did it so I could put the motorcycle behind the cab and still have room for the 5th wheel. I had the hitch rails put on and had whatever the things are called that hold the hitch up custom made to the right height. The bed had tool boxes underneath and 6 inch rails around it. I miss having that bed now.Re: Jayco fith wheelsWe did all the research and picked up a Jaco a couple of months ago. I'm very happy with our decision so far.Re: 2014 Jayco Eagle vs. Columbus PalominoWe were in the exact situation a couple of months ago. After all the research, including which dealer I wanted to deal with we went with the Eagle. After spending some time in it I'm happy with the decision we made, good luck with yours.Re: South Dakota Mail Forwarding ServiceWe used My Dakota Address when we were fulltiming a couple of years ago. Bought a new truck once and sent the paperwork to Teri, and a short time later got the tags in the mail. Never a problem. Planning to fulltime again in a couple of years and will be making a call to her again.Pharr's RVWe are planning to purchase our retirement 5th wheel and retire our Sunnybrook soon. Pharr's RV in Lubbock seems like a decent place. Has anyone had any experience with them? Thanks BruceRe: Motor home works on 110 but not on 12 voltI had the same problem after the 5er was in storage for a while. Turned out it was just the battery connection. Cleaned the terminals and connectors and everything was fine.
