This sounds crazy to me... If you're paying attention to them. I inspect them every time I install and remove the X-Chocks.Re: Strange tire problem - can't find infoTow max is providing 80% of the non-retail value since the tire was OE. That's a check for $96 coming back to me :). I'm satisfied. I thought these were American made tires, but a quick call to their customer relations verified that these are in fact Chinese tires...Re: Strange tire problem - can't find infoWe'll, the bill for 3 brakes/mounts/balances and the new tire was $159 So I didn't press the warranty issue... But I will contact towmax on Moday.Re: Strange tire problem - can't find infoGot a new Towmax tire installed here in Warrior, Alabama. Put the (new) spare tire on the other side of the axle and made that old good tire the spare. Happy travels! Still feel confident with the Towmax tires, wearing well except for this obvious problem. I don't know my exact weight but I'm not even close to my max or the tires max as of the last weigh-in. Thanks for the quick replies folks... In the end I decided I just didn't feel safe with the tread like that so stopped at closest Towmax dealer.Strange tire problem - can't find infoHowdy y'all! We've been on the road since last February or so and have been pretty happy with the Towmax STR tires came on the camper. However, I recently noticed while installing my X-chocks that one of my tires has changed. Where the treads are usually flat across from the inside to the outside of the tire, one of the tires is now somewhat balloon shaped all the way around. This is NOT a tread ware problem, if you place a quarter in all the grooves, the tread ware is even... But the tire tread for this one tire appears round when viewed from the front or back. It has the effect of increasing the circumference about 1" around such that he X-chock is noticeably tighter on this side than the other. I'm planning on taking it to a TowMax Dealer today between Montgomery and Clarksville... Which brings another question... Since the tires are a year old and have about 15,000 miles on them, should I replace only this one or both on the affected axle? Thanks and safe travels!Re: Does anyone CARE? You should have received your card in 3-4 weeks of renewal. Thanks for the response. I look forward to receiving my membership card.Re: Does anyone CARE?The Swipe & Save is a feature that I would use, occasionally... only when traveling as there are no convenient PFJ's around us. My problem is the fact that I was charged, promptly!, for my membership renewal, but have not received the only physical item that comes along with that membership, even after calling. Good Sam used to be something you wouldn't own a camper without, now we're trying to justify the expense of the membership.Re: Does anyone CARE?I renewed for $20 in November... glad I missed the price hike! Did you mistype your park discount savings? You were on a four month vacation and only saved $10 in park discounts? The RV park discount and Camping World discounts were really the only benefits we used all last year... I'll admit they were beneficial!Does anyone CARE?My Good Sam membership auto-renewed and was automatically paid on November 22nd, 2013. After not receiving a new membership card by January, I finally called and spoke to someone who's attitude was "you really don't need the card." I was given a free night of camping certificate as a peace offering. I got the certificate in the mail, only to recognize that it was only valid for about 60 days... so that went unused. Now it's almost MARCH. Three months into my 12 month membership and I still don't have a physical membership card. My initial card was so flimsy that it disintegrated in my wallet, and the text is not readable. You really don't seem to want me or my family as customers do you? My father-in-law is also a member, and has been upset about not receiving his magazine for a long time. I explained the new system and he claims he never received a letter about picking a new magazine. I'm very disappointed... At this point I want my membership dues back, and you can keep the card. RobertRe: Portable clothes washer? Thanks Gunship Guy. Like i said the capacity isnt too important because we'll be in the trailer schooling most of day every week, so doing a bunch of small loads during the day isn't a problem or inconvenience. Question though, is it actually big enough to wash a pair of adult 36x36 jeans? That's probably the single largest piece of clothing we have. Even if it just offsets the costs of coin laundry, it'll help the budget. Off topic, are you retired AF?
