The rim size is different but the tire diameter is the same for both.Re: Buying travel trailer by phone w/o visiting dealership?Bought a trailer over the phone from a dealer 450 miles away. Got a super deal and they were great to work with. They let us camp in there lot for a night and next morning they fixed everything we ask them to. Sold it 3 years later for same price we paid for it. Nothing wrong with trailer, floorplan just didn't work like we thought. Bought an Outdoors RV over the phone from a dealer in Idaho 1400 miles away. Treated us great, drove out to get it and camped our way home. We did have an issue with the slide on the ORV, called service, they sent parts and I fixed myself. Both deals were great, would do again.Re: Looking for qualityTry the Outdoors RV "Back Country series". Sister company to Northwood.Re: 2020 new travel trailer modelsIf you are ordering, don't expect it to look exactly like the 2018 model. They are all notorious for changing things on the fly.Re: How well does the RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi tow?I tow the TT in my signature at around 8500lbs and the truck does really well. It will pull in 5th gear most of the time, seldom does it go down to 3rd. Have pulled some decent hills but nothing really big yet. I have no doubt it would do fine. It will not pull like a diesel but I don't expect it to. I will usually get in the low 9 mpg wise. I think the new 8 speed tranny will make a big difference in towability.Re: tiresAre you talking trailer tire or truck tire? That sounds like a truck tire size.Re: 2019 Chevy 2500 HD gas ib516 wrote: azwildcat wrote: I am in the same situation as Charlie D. Can't find a Chev or Ford locally that is even close to what I am looking for. I did find one on the dark side that was very close to my criteria. It was a 45 min drive but was I surprised. The Ram Laramie is a very nice truck. Took it for a drive and was very impressed. The one draw back that I noted was that the 6.4 requires high test gas. The extra 50 cents per gal would add up in a hurry. Sure was tempting. That must have changed since I bought my 6.4L Hemi in 2014. It didn't need 89 Octane according to the manual that came with it, 87 was fine. The 6.4 in the Ram has never required 89 or higher octane. I have tried it and noticed no difference at all.Re: Where to camp and what to seeIf you don't have reservations yet it will be hard to get into any of the popular state parks, especially if you need electric. ( less than half of sites have electric in Wisconsin) You might find one if you keep checking and hope for a cancellation. They are all great, things to do in and around the park. We have camped at most of them with Penninsula SP in Door County our favorite, spending a week there in August. Been to many SP's in Minnesota also, mostly in the southeastern part of the state. Nice clean parks, tend to be more rural in location. Best of luck getting a site, then just google things to do around the park.Re: Outdoors RV trailersHave had ours for 1 year now. Bought it at Camping World of Idaho Falls actually. Previous TT was a Keystone Outback that we really liked but no comparison in quality of materials and build. Took it to Florida for a month this winter and towed great. Had 2 minor issues while in Florida, shower head split open and attic vent cover blew off somewhere. Got new parts while on the road and emailed ORV after we got home. They reimbursed us with no hassel. The thing is like a tank, tows straight and rides smooth. Is it perfect? No, but better than most. Take the factory tour and you will see how they are built. You walk right out on the work floor next to the workers not viewing from behind windows.Re: Arctic Fox 29LYou should have no problems. There will be places you can't fit such as some sites in State/National parks but will always be able to find a place. Wife and I take turns driving and have never had trouble getting around. Once in a while a gas station looks too tight and just move on to the next one. Enjoy
