We've made that same drive. We stop at Monahans Sandhills State Park just past Odessa. W/E sites and no sewer but for an overnight stop it's a great place, especially if you are lucky to hit a moonlit night like we did. Here is a LINK TO PICS of the Grand Canyon RV campground. Like others said, the shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go and picks you up right at the gate to the campground. You will see Elk wandering around the edges of the campground also. I would think 3 days there would be enough. Once you have seen the views from the canyon rim, you realize it looks the same from everywhere. :)675Views0likes0CommentsRe: Caddo Lake State Park
If you look at a park map Woodpecker Hollow is our choice since they are all pull through sites. It's our favorite area since the sites are easy to get into and out of. Here is a list of our favorite sites in order of preference... 24, 23, 22, 25. That is based on shade (plenty of it) and room to tie out two dogs.
