I haven't had a chance to get back into this thing since I got back from my trip but will likely look into it this weekend some more. Thanks, NathanRe: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issuethey look original. i'll get pics when i get back. I'm pheasant hunting in South Dakota this week. I just noticed one on the wall behind the shelving and wondered if anyone knew already or had any experience with anything like it. will keep you posted thanks.Re: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueI have noticed in my exploration several small "boxes" with two wires attached. They remind me of the old voltage regulators I used to find on the back of the instrument clusters on my old late 60s fords. Anybody know what I'm seeing or talking about?Re: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueAnEv942, good points. I wish there were a way to "sense" where the wires ran since it doesn't look like I will have any luck with a schematic. It looks like most of my wiring runs down the drivers side but this particular one runs down the passenger side. I did replace all of the siding up to the windows on the passenger side where it was rotted from a water leak around the window. I didn't see any wiring then so it has to be above the window on that side if it doesn't go through the ceiling.Re: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueYep Super_Dave that will be next step. I tried DaButcher's idea and ran another ground to the ground wires where the wire nut was at the bathroom exhaust fan with no dice. I then isolated the bathroom light and rear counter light (down circuit from the 9v when separated by the exhaust fan. good ground and good 12v and both worked. Also the exhaust fan by itself worked. I tried the 12v wire on each bulb on every light that didn't work before by grounding the chassis of the bulb and touching the 12v wire to the + terminal of the light and they all worked. It looks to be somewhere between where it goes in the wall under the fridge and first light in the series appears to be porch light. I will check all the actual switches for the light fixtures next. I hope I don't have to wait until I replace the roof to find and fix this :-( Thanks for your help and I will keep you all posted. NathanRe: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueNothing recent as far as nails or screws. I did rebuild the entire underside of the bench seat at the table from the front to the rear but that was when I got it a year ago. DaButcher good idea on the temporary ground. I hadn't thought about that. I'll give it a try in the next couple of days. I know that there are wire nuts at the bathroom exhaust fan which I have disconnected and took that fan, bathroom light and entry light out of the circuit and I still have the 9v or so on the wire right there and the other two lights. I guess I can also ohm out my ground before I run the extra ground wire just to see. I will let you know. Thanks, NathanRe: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueYea, that is what I figured. Just was hoping someone might have seen this issue or something like it, or give me a hint about the wire routing. If I were really lucky someone might have ordered an electrical schematic before fleetwood went belly up and dumpstered all that stuff cause no one bought it. NathanRe: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueI have 12.9V up to where it disappears under the fridge frame. somewhere between there and the back end lighting circuit there must be a junction where it is corroded or chaffed insulation on metal frame. I assume it goes along the fridge cavity and into the roof. I have pulled the speakers and stuck my hand in as far as I can reach but no luck.Re: 95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueI have tracked the positive lead to under the fridge on the passenger side. That is the opposite of where I thought it would be going. I thought it would go under the sink down the drivers side with all the other wires. If anyone knows where the junction might be it would be helpfull. I really don't want to start tearing out the ceiling :-(95 elkhorn 12v wiring issueI am working on a problem that has just reared its head. I have had my camper for a year now and love it. Elkhorn by Fleetwood 11x. Everything works . . . or did anyway. I have lost voltage (some) on the back section of the camper. The outside light, right inside the door, bathroom light and bathroom exhaust fan. I get about 7-9V on these wires or at the bulb fittings. I have 12V at the fuse in the distribution panel. It acts the same on shore power or battery. Other 12V lights and accessories in other parts of the camper (other circuits) all work just fine. The battery doesn't seem to be discharging any faster than it has in the past but it sure seems that it should. I would think that basic electrical theory indicates that in order to have a voltage drop of 3-5 volts it has to be being used somewhere. Of course the manual I got from Fleetwood doesn't have any electrical other than the most rudimentary block diagram type schematic. Not sure where to go from here. much of the wiring seems to be hidden from view. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks, Nathan
