I appreciate hearing a good news story for once :) When I looked at the same model/make/year (Winnebago) a few months ago, they were listed for anywhere between $21K and $34K. Now there are none listed so I suppose they have been sold. I am willing to sell at the lower end. Its funny how this post has become like "telephone" with so many "assuming" there is water damage. There is absolutely no sign, It is warm, bright, dry, clean, sturdy and very attractive. Good air. Everyone who comes in loves it and people want to stay. I guess it is human nature to assume the worst and an indicator that water damage is the #1 fear for buyers. Now I know that my job will be to be sure both the ladder and seal are fixed and of course full disclosure of the tarp use.Re: Prepping RV for private saleThanks all. I will most likely get the slide topper and replace the ladder and yes, full disclosure. But here's a question - for those of you who have bought and sold: assuming the RV is in very good shape, clean, empty, attractive, etc.and it goes on the market at the right time of year, are the NADA value listings a fairly reasonable guide for what one can expect to sell at?Re: Prepping RV for private saleI purchased the RV at 40% off list price.I am hoping to sell for medium retail in the NADA. I have not used the oven, stove or shower and it has not gone anywhere. I'm really hoping I don't "lose my shorts".Prepping RV for private saleHello friends! I'm looking for counsel as I prepare my RV for sale. I've decided to sell it on my own (rather than consignment), with the help of son-in-law and daughter. It has some things needing fixing. #1 (Most important) The bedroom closet slideout has leaked since I got it new. (Dealership sent out a repairman who did not fix it properly and dealership refused to do anymore.) Subsequently that area has been tarped for 2 years. I called manufacturer and since its past warranty they will not help. My thoughts are: Buy and install a slide topper before selling, OR leave as is and with full disclosure, deduct maybe $500 from asking price. Your thoughts? (I don't believe there is any water damage. I had another RV guy look at it and we did some checking.) #2 I broke the rooftop ladder trying to force it to fold up. One joint is snapped and I have duct tape snugly wrapped around it which works fine but again, should I sell it as is with provision in the price for a new ladder, or should I order and install a new one. #3 Is it a good idea to pay for a licensed RV repairman to come out and test all systems and print out a report to have ready to show potential buyers? This way they can have a measure of confidence that everything is disclosed. I have been very pleased with this RV - been living it in off/on for 2 years. Very nice layout. REALLY appreciate good advice. Thanks!Re: Advice on selling my 5th wheelI think I'll go consignment. Thanks for the great advice everyone. It is really valuable to hear the cautions/warning and wisdom from you who have had experience. Happy trails and Happy New Year!Advice on selling my 5th wheelI have a 2017 fifth wheel that I want to sell. I am not using this forum to sell it, rather just for some advice on pros/cons of putting it up for consignment or selling it privately. I am leaning towards consignment, since I am pretty far out in the country and might be difficult for folks to come out here. Any pitfalls to be aware of when going consignment? Would appreciate advice/suggestions. Thanks!Re: Best air purifier? Thanks Craig. I am looking at the Winix HR 951. Replacement filters are $69 and they say should be replaced annually. Here is the link - if you have any thoughts on this particular purifier I would love to hear. Thanks! https://winixamerica.com/product/hr951/Re: Best air purifier?BOTH these replies were helpful; really just what I needed. After checking out the Allergy Buyers Club and the Winix C555 at Costco (on sale!) it looks like it is a good choice. AL, where do you keep yours?Best air purifier?Wondering if anyone has a good activated-carbon air purifier you are using in your RV? I am finding my nose and eyes are a bit sensitive to that "new smell" (aka formaldehyde, VOC's, etc.) in my 2017 Fiver. I plan to keep the air fresh as possible with cracked windows and vents and to pick up some air-cleaning ivy, but it may not be enough in these cold winter months. Any recommendations on a good air purifier are welcome. Thanks ahead...:)Re: Battery dead, connection issuesMust have blown a fuse in the house. I am away and have not heard more.
