The spouse drove the C and I drove the kid in the car. It wasn't too bad. She had the safety I wanted and we then had a vehicle to drive around in when we reached our destination. Our next RV was a TT, so we always had a runaround car. Now that we are in a C again and often all travel in it, we sometimes wish we had the extra car with us. I refuse to disconnect and pack up the house just for a beer run. ;-)Re: Where I really envy a Class AOur first C was a 1985 Londonaire. Both front seats did a 180 swivel. We used it sometimes, but not enough to look for it again. Our current C has that step-down, so the seats don't turn. We haven't missed it.Re: Coleman blue road trip grill regulatorSame grill with the same problem. We were able to get the part from Coleman, though. We bought 3 regulators just in case they stopped making them. Guess they did. We love that grill. :( KRe: Annoying neighborLeaf blowers make great campfire starters when your wood is funky.Re: Restringing day night shade..helpMaybe it's due to our location, but we were so happy our RV came with Day/Night shades. The mini blinds don't help with the heat at all! Thanks for the information on restringing! KRe: Watch your rear.Crap!! One more thing to worry about... We've had our 31' C for almost a year. I didn't realize that is a problem. I have been focusing on not cutting anyone short when I change lanes. Thanks for the heads up!Re: Space heaters. When we were in our hybrid, electric blankets totally helped our little space heaters. We were nice and toasty!Re: PPL pricingPPL Houston is way better than PPL New Braunfels. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We traded in a hybrid and bought a class C. I live in San Antonio, so getting paperwork filled out was a little tough. They lined everything up, so all we had to do was basically sign on the dotted line. They also offered me way more money for my trade-in than the NB branch. I would not hesitate to purchase another RV from them.Re: Test Driving RVWe've had something similar happen to us at a consignment place. They wanted our credit card number. They claimed it was to hold the unit for us so it wouldn't be sold before we could get there to see it and drive it. If we didn't like the unit, we would not be held to it. We declined the unit after seeing it. They wern't supposed to charge our card, but somehow it accidentally got entered and billed. I was pretty pissed! When I complained, our money was refunded. We did not purchase anything from them.Re: Need advice on tires.Don't forget to get long valve stems! Shame on us for not asking and shame on the Discount Tire in Houston for not reminding us. We bought rear tires on our new-to-us class c and didn't think about that. After several years with a travel trailer, we forgot about the dually axle issues. Without the long stems, the inside wheels are impossible!! Kerri
